RMweb Premium kevinlms Posted October 30, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 30, 2011 Class 31 fans should take a close look at this one http://www.ebay.co.u...=item3cbc5796a4 A Triang 31 by the looks of it (certainly not mid 80s vintage), with a bit of an identity crisis in the bogie department. Strangely, no takers as yet! Not to mention the identity crises on the side - Biggin Hill indeed. Kevin Martin
RMweb Gold Oldddudders Posted October 30, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 30, 2011 Is TMC part of Modelzone? Didn't think it was, but I stand corrected if it is... http://www.ebay.co.u...=item415ed40c6b The box makes it clear that this TMC is Trafford Model Centre, not the weathering specialist TMC from North Yorkshire. RMweb Premium John M Upton Posted October 30, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 30, 2011 Money grabbing EBay profiteer ???? - no doubt ordered and bought more than one especially are there are now none left for those of us that have had to save and wait until it was released.............................. http://www.ebay.co.u...C-/290626110823 Reports are that someone has been going around the ModelZone branches and buying up multiples of this model, most branches seems to have been cleaned out with a day of them being delivered and they did not have that many left after pre-orders to start with. deltic56
Is Asnieres twinned with Cartmel? No the model is based on a PROTOTYPE used by the DB in the sixties to reduce costs on branchlines. Brekina have made an Ho working model. So not every strange item [ to our eyes ] that appears on Ebay is "expensive" tat just because people do not know the prototype. Wills/DJH/BEC .he appears to be blaming a lot of people for the loco, personally I think it may well be his Grandad as mentioned in the listed who was responsible for the "loco". My guess is that it's an old wind-up (or possibly pull-along) toy of some sort; it certainly doesn't look like either a pannier or a Saint Class loco, but it might have satisfied a child back in the 1930s or thereabouts. Grandad might have kept it from his younger days, indeed! It might even be worth something if correctly listed!
RMweb Gold Metr0Land Posted October 31, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 31, 2011 Slightly off topic but this caught my eye. I thought at first he'd put the decimal point in wrong place but when you look at current items for sale there are ~ 3 dozen items priced at £9999.99 - strange! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Asus-K53E-K53-15-6-LED-Backlit-Core-i3-2310M-640GB-4GB-2-1-GHz-Windows-7-Laptop-/200667171845?pt=UK_Computing_Laptops_EH&hash=item2eb8b20c05

RMweb Gold Oldddudders Posted November 1, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 1, 2011 Colour blindness is not fun for those so afflicted, I suspect. I recall being at Liverpool St with a schoolfriend, and there was a lovely little 0-6-0 painted in GER colours as station pilot. "It's blue, isn't it?" asked David. Didn't hold him back in life - he married one of the prettiest girls in our year!
