You mean like this one which is Blacksmith which I have pointed out to him but D&S is worth more money so you can rip fools off.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VINTAGE-D-S-KIT-BUILT-00-GAUGE-LOWMAC-BRASS-WAGON-/400407347718?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item5d3a234206 also some parts are not put on it as well.

I don't think I've ever seen the going described as "sticky"!

I don't want to take this thread too far OT but that does remind me of an occasion at Arlington Texas (between Fort Worth and Dallas).  I went to a couple of race meetings there with the Head of Household and one time after prolonged rain on the (alleged) all-weather course, the official going was 'Sloppy' - I jest not!

To late for that I'm afraid.

This thread went OT long ago

Another two bidder fight; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Westward-5400-6400-or-7400-class-cast-white-metal-locomoitve-kit-/151012984163?ViewItem=&ssPageName=ADME%3AB%3AWNA%3AGB%3A1123&item=151012984163&nma=true&si=HO%252FBzr9iICdyajvEQewywXmWkLc%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

Perhaps they're unaware that Bachmann are bringing one out?

I've bought three over time at around £45 each. But now after the announcement I might put them up!

Perhaps they're unaware that Bachmann are bringing one out?

From the description:

However now selling as a. I need the money for a foreign holiday, b. because (very shallow of me) Bachmann will be doing the 6400 as a ready to run engine.

Can't say fairer than that.

Cheers,

Mick

In fairness, these are pewter, which is a bit pricier than the plastic and resin most of us settle for.

Clearly the Hornby T9 has kicked the bottom out of the kit-built market for such machines. The seller here is an occasional RMwebber, and I would think this would be a decent buy. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300878770718&ssPageName=ADME:B:WNA:GB:1123

Actually Falcon Figures are quite good (though pic doesn't do them justice).  Unfortunately the guy doing them doesn't have a website, so you have to catch him at model railway shows in the SE, or get into snail mail, but you need to have his details first as... he doesn't have a website.  IIRC about £6 a pair for painted ones now.

It's POSSIBLE the winning bidder knows and likes this product, so the total cost of 2 pairs of crew this way incl p/p is cheaper than going to a show if you want some quickly?

(No connection other than as happy customer)

I'm not completely sure what sort of loco this is, 'though it looks a bit like a Jinty, but might be LNER instead. The seller has correctly declared the front coupler missing - but look at the buffer beam where it ought to be! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dapol-Tank-Loco-/190816031256?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item2c6d859218

It's a Mainline J72 , notorious for the wheels slipping on their stub axles -and look at the angle of the coupling rods!

Apart from the general cr rubbish, were any of these scrapped in green livery with a D55xx number?

£34.99 seems a bit steep for something sold as not working...

And they'll do this to your own models (not mine!)

More professional weathering.   Funnily enough the brake managed to escape the attention of the professional weatherer and is nice and clean for the guard to go about his duties.

I know the Triang 3F is a bit crude by today's standards, but did she really deserve this?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TRI-ANG-OO-GAUGE-R251-CLASS-3F-0-6-0-43775-WEATHERED-/370784465684?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item565479f314

At least there's no claim of professionalism.......

I love the polished brass dome and bulled up white buffers in the middle of the muck! I take it the brown patches are supposed to be rust (ancient FIAT style), but the greenish slime on the front of the running plate?

The departmental train is actually not too bad, apart from the pedantic point that these vehicles were painted black (later red).
