Definitely qualifies, Jack.  An older tooling as shown by the couplings, which would now qualify it as a Railroad item.  It could even have tender drive, a 70s/80s feature.

Definitely tender drive - traction tyres still there on the photos

Oh my good gawd...

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/204080146290

A hundred notes each for a N scale coach.  The bidder who won one but just lost out on the other had a top bid of over a 100 quid EACH.

Lunacy, sheer lunacy....

£145 sheets from a certain Liverpudlian box shifter but it has a good box, no mention of the obvious probably unrepairable damage that is clearly visible in the photo though....

Obviously not been track tested!

I don't know what you're worrying about.

Nothing that a 4lb hammer couldn't sort....

This is classic Hattons 2h listing, wildly inconsistent and obsessed with the condition of the box rather than the contents.  They will trot out the excuse, long past its sell-by, that the person dealing with 2h pricing is new and inexperienced, sometimes to the extent that one sees damaged non-runner used items for more than the new list price.  This has been going on for long enough for the excuse to be clearly incorrect, and mendacious at best…

Going to hazard a guess that the previous owner had a chip in it and has removed it, then failed to relocate the body propery on the chassis.  I've had DMUs look like that whilst trying to get the body glazing to let go of the circuit board - looks very painful but luckily the chassis are all fairly robust and they spring back where they should be once the trapping hazard has been sorted.

Farish engines are a bit of a b*gger to put back together after chipping - getting the lights working on a 40 or a DMU especially fun.

Poor show by Hattons to leave it in that state though, surely the photographer would have noticed.

Price looks steep too, is that how much they go for now, they also have a GreyFriars Bobby in large logo DCC Fitted for only 110 notes.  I reckon the slow running is down to the chip settings not the motor.

It's cheaper than gym membership, it would be a great cardio programme Gather half a dozen friends and have a contest to see who can throw it furthest.

Now there's a strange film I haven't seen for a long time.

I should give the more recent Death Proof another watch too.

A couple of litres of industrial strength Dettol should do the trick.

It'll be germ -free too!

What I find baffling is why any semi responsible retail outlet would associate themselves with rubbish or even be seen to be peddling such items.... Anyone with any idea surely would just bin it

Are they trying to promote themselves as "Oh look at me we sell junk"
