It always looks more realistic when the camera is is held down at baseboard level 📸 😜 3

I always thought N gauge a little small for outdoor model railways 😄 3

Popular Post Jack374
Nice weathering, nice lighting, but clearly a shot in the owner's fiddleyard! I like that they’ve modelled the crane with legs outstretched and jib up, mind. (Flickr link) Thanks, Jack. 29
Wickham Green too
Shame they couldn't get matched liveries - maybe that's why they're not on the layout yet. ( Good to see they've got a future down Mexico way ! )

They've clearly never been to Great Yarmouth - no way is any part of the town that clean ;) 2 3

Ok the lighting is good and the track is finescale but its all a bit twee.

Popular Post Michael Crofts
I thought this was a really clever use of different shapes and textures for a scenic break, and really good forced perspective in the view through the arch, also clever spot lighting there, I've not seen that before. The cranes painted on the backscene are very convincing but perhaps some of the other colours are a bit questionable - I'm really not sure about that phone box. The curve's too sharp of course but can't be helped given the constraints of space. I think they were pushing their luck with the name on the business under the arch. I've never liked humorous names on models, it spoils the illusion. Entrance to Swansea Docks (station apparently to the right). From a Facebook group, borrowed from somewhere else, no details of photographer, no hits on Google Lens.

( At least it's not got a bus on it ! ) 2
