NickL2008
The Intercity Power looks nice, shame about the bogies, only a minor thing I know, just slightly ruins what is otherwise a lovely model and paintjobNL

Detailed and weathered, and the cab handrails have been readjusted. Out of the box, they sit a scale 12 inches out from the body. 027 by rothburyuk, on Flickr Still with n gauge, a repainted 60, into Colas. Popular Post blueeighties
Some really nice blue era stuff on the go at the moment. Here's a small selection of some of it. Here we have 37183. One of the last to keep her unrefurbished skirts, it caused a bit of a headscratcher as some of the bufferbeam pipes were mounted behind the skirts. I added some small plasticard support plates to hold the pipes. You can see them here in white prior to painting. 004 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 006 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 015 by rothburyuk, on Flickr Split headcode this time. 016 by rothburyuk, on Flickr Split headcode with white stripe. 019 by rothburyuk, on Flickr Not a class I had much experience of the 58, but I do think the Heljan model is very nice. This one has been renumbered, and is about to be weathered. Up for sale if anyone fancies her. 027 by rothburyuk, on Flickr Another little rake of n gauge HEA coal hoppers that have just been repainted. Awaiting weathering and coal loads to finish. 023 by rothburyuk, on Flickr Fitting lights to a Bachmann class 20 21pin dc chassis. Not a lot of room for the soldering iron!! 007 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 009 by rothburyuk, on Flickr Chassis to be mated with this .... 021 by rothburyuk, on Flickr

blueeighties
And now, for something completely different. A Desiro in Jaffa cake livery 008 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 016 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 012 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 019 by rothburyuk, on Flickr The Legoman soundchip for the big Heljan 40 has landed, (cheers Mick), so as well as installing it, I have had a chance to look at the loco in a bit more detail. The Spaghetti left over after removing the standard PCB. 006 by rothburyuk, on Flickr The new chip mounted and installed. 026 by rothburyuk, on Flickr Personally, I think the bogies are a work of art. Real heavyweights, just like the prototype. No debating any bogie to body gaps here. 030 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 033 by rothburyuk, on Flickr Very nice pre fitted bufferbeam detailing. 037 by rothburyuk, on Flickr Icing on the cake, and I believe a first for rtr, illuminated cab dials. The cluster of six all illuminate. 028 by rothburyuk, on Flickr These were yellow ended, now painted blue. Transfers and varnishing not long completed. 039 by rothburyuk, on Flickr And the completed Schenker 20. Fitted with a Zimo soundchip, and full lighting. 042 by rothburyuk, on Flickr Edited November 1, 2014 by blueeighties

blueeighties
The workshop is looking ever more cluttered these days. 045 by rothburyuk, on Flickr A few interesting jobs coming in recently. blueeighties
After an awful lot of filling, sanding, filling sanding, filling (you get the picture), the big Heljan 26 finally has it's tablet recesses filled, and new doors . As you can see the whole area has now been primed, I'm going to let it dry out completely for a week as shrinkage of the filler and cracking has been a real issue. Fingers crossed everything stays put! 005 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 002 by rothburyuk, on Flickrhttps://flic.kr/p/q9Atgk
railtec-models
The workshop is looking ever more cluttered these days. If that's cluttered then remind us to never show you the Railtec office, Lee! It's hardly what you could describe as the Dalai Lama's minimalist retreat. Loving those Strathclyde 101s. IMHO probably the second most attractive livery ever (after Sealink). Full of character. Steve Railtec Transfers www.railtec-models.com

Mandrover
Hi Lee i have a 00 Bachmann 40 and and an esu decoder from south west digital, however i cant see where the speaker fits as it is a rectangular one?
blueeighties
Hiya. Did you tell SWD it was for a current Bachmann class 40? There is a dedicated mounting plate for a circular speaker underneath the roof fan. Only place a speaker will comfortably sit I'm afraid.
Mandrover
Yeah though it sounds like they mucked up. Will ring them in the morning. Couldnt ring them today as they were shut from thurs until tomoz. Thanks for the heads up. I thought it looked wrong as ive had sound kits from them before that fitted straight away. Frustrating as i want to hear it. Once thats fitted itl be sent to yourself for repainting!
