A Nod To Brent - a friendly thread, filled with frivolity, cream teas and pasties. Longing for the happy days in the South Hams 1947.

What a nice scene, thanks for sharing that Rob. The difference in shade between the two coaches is very interesting.

Yes and I now realise my locos [45xxs] should leave bunker first from the bay platform !

Are any members of this fine body of men attending the Doncaster Show, and if so, on which day?

That's a bit of a trip for you Colin.

No - but I might go to Stafford again this year.

Do you want a chaperone for that trip.

Its a good show at a good venue, and once you get out of Norfolk its not a bad journey. I hate the peterborough show so I tend to do Donny and Spalding. Might do Ally Pally this year too.

I have a pal in Middlesbrough who sometimes meets me there for a catch up.

What larks - thanks for that.

In that case, I think Robin should get one!

Should be possible in early 2016 -  just after the DJM King is due - and not in the 2015 budget year

Apparently it should be able to chuff, clank and squeal too - just a pity it's the wrong scale :jester:

One or more of  the Composite, 3rd and Brake 3rd also on offer from that seller would be more useful to break up the later Colletts and create a typical "ragbag" GWR coach rake.

Might have to check if they all survived until 1947 though.

I don't need one as I already have a H57 that was built a couple of years back.

Would that be Heinz 57......

Coat being put on as we speak.....

No, Rob. It's a new Bachmann job courtesy of Lord and Butler. I also have a 4500 coming from the same source. That will do for me on the loco front....For now...
