It will doubtless still be better than anything "pro weathered" on eBay!

One assumes that tbg doesn't have access to a 4 inch brush and emulsion for a start..

Weathering supplies are being concealed ahead of a supply drop........a disguised member of the resistance will be attending the ward...

I don’t want to know what you googled to get that image.

As a learning point, avoid " mens  nurses costume "

Men can make fine nurses. When Deb was in the rehab hospital at St Saturnin after her car crash, she needed a daily abdominal injection, Arixtra. Despite many female nurses on hand, Pierre was the most comfortable to administer this, and eventually taught her to do it herself.

I have a feeling the physiotherapists outnumbered the nurses - there were 30 of the former.

However, your vast experience of cleaning out Gun Barrels and shoving things up the same, was a real plus on your CV wasn't it. Also the experience of administering a large Hammer to adjust the stubborn Nuts was the clincher (clencher?)

Excellent Profession.

Well I hope everyone had a great Christmas and voted in the poll run by @BMacdermott and the team.

Of course I voted for the Hawksworth County amongst other stuff. Here we see the current offering , another on loan from @46444in the shape of 1022 County of Northampton.

Many thanks Rob

A reminder that voting closes at 1800 today!

All the best for 2023 to all the readers of your excellent thread.

2023 is the centenary of the birth of my favourite GWR class, the Castle. I wonder if Hornby are aware of this and will represent it in their announcement next Monday.😀 Nah Flying Scotsman will feature highly won't it !

Meanwhile we catch 5071 Spitfire heading west with the cross country service to Plymouth.

Can’t beat a nice Castle Robin…. Well apart from a nice 0-6-0PT of course.

I looked earlier at the Hornby speculation thread (admittedly didn’t open it today), but it’s 32 pages already, with a week to go! I’m not holding my breath… but you never know.….

Well i've caught up but when i got to this page I was beginning to wonder what the heck was going on in this thread🤨  Hiwever it has seemingly recovered its proper form in Rob's most recent posts so a Happy New Year one and all.

PS. The nurse in charge on my daughter's ward is male.  He comes from the Phillipines and is a good boss and nurse but apparently has some 'interesting' tastes in his off-duty clothes (they don't include nurses' uniforms , just some rather flamboyant colours on otherwise normal male apparel).

BTW if lot lot of 6 coaches at Trains Galore went for £240 hammer price plus the usual add on (20% the last time I bought there but that's a while back, so making £288 that wasn't bad price if they really were Larry Goddard jobs.  But were they by Larry?
