MrWolf
I got the plates for 23, 530 and my Collett goods from 247 Developments, very pleased with them and a quick turnaround. 1
RMweb Gold The Fatadder Posted February 13 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 13 For non named locos I use the custom plates from narrow planet, they need painting but are cheaper than everyone else 1
Tony Wright
Robin has kindly suggested I put the following on here, seeing that it's a GWR-themed thread........... These locos were built by Peter Lawson who, sadly, because of age/infirmity is no longer able to model. They're therefore offered for sale, with 10% of proceeds going to Cancer Research UK. Prices are negotiable.......... All run really well. A K's 43XX (though not K's mechanics). £100.00. A K's 57XX (though not K's mechanics). £80.00. A Little Engines WR ROD. £140.00. An M&L 78XX. £140.00. A Nu-Cast 57XX. £80.00. A Nu-Cast 45XX (Portescap). £170.00. A South Eastern Finecast 51XX. £110.00. A South Eastern Finecast 6959 (Portescap). £140.00. A South Eastern Finecast Castle (Portescap). £170.00. And, a Westward Grange. £150.00. Anyone interested, please PM me. Thanks in anticipation. Postage (guaranteed/insured delivery) will be £10.00. Apologies for duplicated images (I don't know how!). Edited February 14 by Tony Wright to add something 11

Certainly isn't the original plate: To be honest, none of the numerals look quite right, and the spacing is off. You'd like to think an organisation like the NRM would get stuff like this right. 1

You'd think a museum would do some proper research, like look at a photograph from the time she broke the speed record. Glenn 1

RMweb Gold The Fatadder Posted February 15 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 15 Hoping someone on here might be able to do me a favour I am trying to confirm the 1947 livery of curved frame Bulldog 3335, apparently there is a photo in the Maidment book on small wheel GWR 4-4-0s which alas is not in my library. Hoping someone on here may have a copy and be able to have a quick look to see if they think it is painted in green or black before I get the paints out on this 9

Only image of 3335 in the book Hard to tell colour though I'd suggest green? David Edited February 15 by Clearwater add detail 5
RMweb Gold The Fatadder Posted February 15 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 15 Thanks, that is perfect, I would say definitely green based on the contrast between the cab and the black outside frames. Which I am quite happy seeing as there is a tin of newly ordered GWR green arriving sometime this afternoon. 2 1

RMweb Gold The Fatadder Posted February 15 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 15 Just now, Captain Kernow said: Is that a 3-D print, Rich? Yes, It was produced by a chap on the GWR Modelers Facebook group (I think he is the same person who is selling damaged seconds on ebay). He has done straight and curved Bulldogs, Birds and is now working on an Aberdare. The body / bogie are printed and are a straight fit on a Bachmann Earl chassis 2 6 2
RMweb Premium Fair Oak Junction Posted February 15 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 15 Ooooh, interesting. I've wanted a model of a Bulldog for a while but I don't have the skills to make the Brassmaster kit. A 3D print though..... 3

RMweb Premium Mallard60022 Posted February 15 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 15 Ref (at least) Bulleid Pacific front Number Plates and the 6s and 9s. One has to be careful as several had different Plates in their lives. Check the Loco you have/want, are building, and the guise you want it in and the time/era/(day?) you want it! 34069 and 34096 in particular; (no sniggering at the back!). I've been renumbering a few and Fox kindly supplied one set that I've used recently with a choice of Front Plates as Tony has described above, that is G.S. and Curly! I think I found that I needed the G.S version on checking the photo collection Anyone else found that with Fox? We all know you need to check the Colour too, although that was less often anything other than White on Black. Sadly I doubt I'll ever get every identity correct and most of my Engines will have to cover at least half a dozen years and many Works visits. Those WR Kit builds look excellent. The castle is lovely, but has a Portescap. Great for DC of course but not my DCC outfit. Phil 1

Miss Prism
3335 with a rare vacuum-cylindered early Dean 3000g with 'G W R' insignia. Date unknown. Could be wartime black. 17
