A bit more progress, hinges have been added to the LHS and a good general cleanup of excess solder has been done. I like to do this as I go and keep the brass as clean as possible using either Cillit Bang or Bar Keepers Friend as it makes soldering easier and you don't get a mammoth cleanup task at the end of construction

Handrails next after the hinges are on the front and RHS ......

Last update for this year I fear, can't see me being able to wield the soldering iron of the festive period - I'll be too busy with Josh's Lego

So, first the grinder box and how it is an interference fit between the frame rails

and the cab as it stands - I've not fitted the seats or other resin parts

As I received a consignment of wheels from DC Kits over Xmas (thanks Charlie!) I found time to rebuild the bogies with the correct 12mm wheels - here's a quick vid of it negotiating the only track I have at home ahead of the house move - it's not supposed to handle 1st raduis curves!

cheers

I think Pete's waiting for me to make all the mistakes first

I have built eight grinders and they go together well but to prove a kit for sale it needs to be built independently, so far Ian's build has helped to fine tune the instructions and has gone together well and he still has quite a bit to build.

I'm waiting for Mr Mellors of Redgate models to give me the ok to release the kit, I know he has recently moved house and his good lady has a list of things to do.

I would not like to release the kit with a whole load of problems that have not been found.
