"Anything You Can do, I Can Do Better ! Robinson and Downes.

Impressive (not sure what you use the sliced beetroot for though?).

I googled the shed but didn't find many good images, although it looks like similar design were used at Keith, Kyle, etc? Some great photographs of Perth at http://locodriver.co.uk/Vol09/Part08/04/index.html

I expect Allan uses it for staining when he is out of Colron!

Perth shed sidewalls.

Showing the talc pointing and after it has been coloured with Coldon - what else did you expext, paint ! - but the walls look better than this for here they're upside down -  black shadow dust coat on top and not under the stonework edges.

Also, the main window frames cut out but loads to do on these yet.

Cheers.

Allan.

Did those start off life as Wills stone sheets, Alan?

Yes, and in my opinion about the best representation of course stone in plastic you can get and, although very small sheets at about postcard size, the join between sheets can be blinded out either gently with a soldering iron or worked over with a brush and solvent.

These sheets are marketed for the 4mm scale which is quite laughable really for random stone is what it is - random - and therefore suitable for all scales, even gauge one, and looks better on an O gauge model than it does on a four mil one !

This O Gauge castle is an example.

Cheers.

Allan.

Latest from 'Family bathrooms'

Mr Family Bathrooms himself has now grown a beard and looks a bigger prat than ever !

A couple looking for a B&B buisiness in the Culm Valley ( with 850 grand in there back pocket )  were shown a property with over 3 acres but said it wasn't enough - what the hell do they intend to  serve up for breakfast - grass ?

Anyway, with 850 grand in your back pocket would you want to spend the rest of your life dishing up porridge and changing beds.

And while you are, I'll be boxing up engine sheds.

Cheers.

Allan

Here's a couple of shots, one of Reely Grate and the other of Primrose Hill my 2 0 gauge micros resized for the forum. (Copyright Chris Nevard). The only bit of photo-shopping is the added smoke. Hopefully in the fullness of time there will be an article in Model Rail . ;)

Yesterday was a family day - nothing to do with Family Bathrooms I promise you - which meant very little got done as hundreds of kids, some I knew, most that I'd never even seen before, swarmed all over the house, up the walls, across the ceiling, through it into the loft, and a delightful selection under the floor boards.

Anyway, here's what got done after they had all been rounded up, dumped into various cars and one van and the carnage cleared up - but secretly I want 'em all back, every last one of 'em but, I have a suspicion that some of them are still here....

Cheers.

Allan.

By the heavens above, but we had a real piece of work on Family Bathrooms today  - half a mil budget, both mid 50's, she  glasses perched on top of head wanting a B&B business, he drooling over a vegetable patch the size of Kew Gardens as bearded Mr Family bathrooms himself, looking a bigger prat than he did yesterday which, and on reflection and to improve on that really took some doing , well into himself as he talked the hind leg off a donkey as  Mr and Mrs Mid Life Crisis struggled to get a word in.

I hear that the programme is up for the Nafta awards soon.

There are those who would rather model it in this slightly shabby state, but then there are also those who'd feel it was incomplete without a bit of graffiti. Personally, I like to see a model showing the subject at its best.

Edit: Spelling.

That's an immense build Allan - it must have cost you a fortune in Wills sheets - do you buy in bulk? ;)

Hi Freebs, long time no see - where've you been buddy ?

I bought ten packets to cover this building and have three packets left which will no doubt disappear on the single road annexe that will stand to the left of the main building.

Cheers.

Allan

I really do think you need to find a new programme to watch, there is a really naff celebrity version of 'escape to the celebrity home by the sea in the country' or alternatively do what i do, turn off the telly and listen to music instead.

I did Mullie, it's called 'Tiling an engine shed roof without going nuts'.

Here's the results.

Allan, you're just a speed demon  -superb work!!

Here's what I've been doing:

http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/75832-farnley-burton-a-yearning-to-build-another-signal-box/?p=1645140

Freebs, that signal box is a masterpiece - absolutely first class mate, and you keep saying I'm good, well you're well in front of me and further more, I'm not having it !

Truly stunning work mate. It don't get better than that.

Cheers.

Allan

Love the photograph with the sunlight streaming in through the windows. Amazing work as usual Allan. And big enough to house all those pesky children when they come to visit.
