RMweb Gold beast66606 Posted March 23, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 23, 2018 19 March 2018 Eccles Road 66732, GBRF, The First Decade 1999 - 2009, John Smith - MD, on 6P40, 06:00, Harwich Refinery CRLS SLVS - North Walsham GBRF (14:41) - empty condensate tanks (18 TEA) Due to a points failure (on going) at Manningtree East Junction meaning trains couldn't use the Northbound leg of the Manningtree triangle (off the Harwich line toeards Norwich) the train was diverted, but because the tanks are required in a specific orientation it couldn't simply run round at Colchester and head back up the GEML so it went on a magical mystery tour via Stratford, Broxbourne, Cambridge, Ely and down the Brecklands to Norwich where it regained its normal path to Walsham.
