Alcanman Posted March 4, 2020 Share Posted March 4, 2020 (edited) The last remaining regular coal train on the Blyth & Tyne line is this North Blyth - Tees Yard service.The coal is destined for a steel works in South Wales. With these coal trains rumoured to be ceasing at the end of this month, the Blyth & Tyne's long association with the movement of coal will soon come to an end. So, here are a few from that trip out to Doncaster... DB Cargo 66128 leads 6T52, 04.50 Berwick-Upon-Tweed to Doncaster Up Decoy engineers' train... ...with 66164 bringing up the rear. 66168 passes along the Goods Line with 6D65, Scunthorpe Roxby Gullet to Rossington Colliery. DRS 66422 keeping DB Cargo 67016 company, stabled in Doncaster West Yard. GBRf 66742 'ABP Port of Immingham Centenary 1912-2012' passes along the Goods Line with 6G31, 10.53 Calder Bridge Junction to Doncaster Down Decoy. Not the greatest location for this photo unfortunately, GBRf 66743 with 66783 'The Flying Dustman' and 66706 'Nene Valley Railway working 0E15, 05.50 Millerhill to Doncaster Roberts Road Shed. GBRf 66744 'Crossrail' crossing onto the Down Fast with 4D08, 09.33 Tees Dock to Doncaster iPort.
