Piecing together the sequence of events, 70807 had left Haverton on time at 02.28 but encountered a problem early into its journey, reaching York 86 minutes late. 56096 was summoned from Doncaster to take the entire consist forward from York, by then +171 minutes, passing me at Brighouse +154 minutes down and reaching its destination at Preston +116 minutes late.
