If you didn't know the date, I'm not sure if they really say "autumn". Although no-one's really put any criteria on what to include other than the thread title, "Autumn Pictures". eastwestdivide
One thing that does say autumn is the arrival of the seals and their pups at Donna Nook, these from 2009: You can get pretty close, but happily you're separated from the seals (and the bombing range) by a fence. Close enough to smell their breath; mind you, that would strip paint at thirty paces.
A_S
I haven't had time to take more traditional pictures as by the time I am home from work its getting dark..! But at least it is giving me the chance to learn about and improve/perfect my long exposures and in this instance test out a nice new expensive lens (Canon 16-35 F2.8L). Taken tonight at about half 6: Bracebridge 04/10/2013 by Andrew_S84, on Flickr

A_S
Yes, it is worth the trip, there is so much to photo - unfortunatly I am recovering from a broken ankle (and don't have much time before the light fades after work) so I have a few spots I go to if the light looks good. I will get out into the woods and forests as my ankle becomes strong enough to deal with the rougher terrain!
Peter Kazmierczak
For statistical purposes, the Met Office consider the calendar months of September, October and November as "Autumn". This was taken last autumn near where I live.

Jaz
Lots of nice pictures. So far post 27 Rmblestripe is my favourite, but 46 Shadow is a good second. But then I am a sucker for water features. Both ones you could frame and hang in the lounge. Or if you were good enough copy and paint in oils. Perhaps we should have a favourite button that you can only press once on each thread.
jcredfer
Perhaps we should have a favourite button that you can only press once on each thread. That might be very limiting and cause the Police a lot of bother being called to calm down people shouting at their screens. I rather like Thomas's first picture of the man on the bench .. delightfully peaceful. J
