Got to get a copy of this, if only for the article about Blackwell's Brewery Co as that's the layout I run my stock on!

I suppose the rest of the issue looks quite interesting as well!  :jester:

I'll keep an eye out for this issue after having not purchased BRM for the last few editions (the contents posted on forum have not been of interest or particularly inspiring to me). However, this looks potentially of more interest and worthwhile.

Cheers.

G.

A very good issue this month. I like the DVD but do we have to have 'a look around model shops' segment? Surely, better to show practical demos or reviews.

Thanks - we're trying to vary the content and locations of the DVDs each month and felt that the retail side of the trade needed to be included and supported. Many shops are having a tough time at the moment and we thought it was a good way to encourage people to support their local shop, and provide a different location from which to host the programme. We've already done lots of practical demos and reviews and they will continue to be an important part of the programmes.

I enjoyed the look around the model shop and I have to say has encouraged me to drop in next time I'm up that way.. I always enjoy the practical side, Tony in particular with his very no-nonsense attitude to it all.

Owdo, Lovely mag though it is, I thought I'd let you know that I can't get any sound from the video on my iPad digital subscription. My speakers are up high, I've rebooted the machine and the app, all to no avail. Is anyone having this problem?

Hello,

Have you checked that both the system volume and app volume aren't muted? Please PM me if you need any help.

Regards,

Howard

"Tail Lamp – Industry Insider tackles the big issues in the hobby."  on the back page makes interesting reading.

I'm sure that it will ruffle a few feathers with some 'experts'!...."with all due respect" of course!

A very well written piece.

Yes, rather good isn't it.  There's some other very good stuff in this issue although I was a little worried to see a layout design with sidings accessed via a facing connection - I wonder how many of them there really were at small through stations?

I notice in the blurb for the next edition mentioning a feature about buying and upgrading older models. The last time one of these type of articles appeared in a mag many years ago at the next show I went to a week later all the featured old models on second hand traders tables had had their prices bunged up by another ten to fifteen quid a pop!

My reckoning is that BRM are going from strength to strength, any chance of a two-week issue, I can't wait that long for the next download! David

I'll ask Ben what he thinks about going bi-weekly! I think I can guess his response...

Thanks for the kind words though. The mag's looking better than it has for a long, long time... full credit to Ben, Howard, Andy, Phil and the other contributors!

Well, one product in next month was first produced in 1961 and the other 1975 and still in production. You can find them cluttering up boxes under second hand stalls.

No more clues, although readers of my blog might be able to guess if they look back far enough... :scratchhead:
