jwealleans
They seem to have been very popular as stores once out of traffic. You've already shown the one at Billingham; Guisborough had one until closure and there was one in Thirsk until only two or three years ago. 2
DOCJACOB
Agree NBR, available as flexible, rigid and re-built flexible wheelbase versions. Body of one exists at SRPS

The N.B.R. flexible wagon chassis was very odd, using a subframe for each outer axle pivoted at its inner end ....... I'm not sure how the geometry worked and I don't see what prevented one subframe from swinging one way and the t'other the opposite way - even on straight track ! ( I cheated with a Brassmasters 'Cleminson' truck on mine ! ) 1

As the photographer says it is at Llanwern (not Shotton) for internal use as it was when we measured it in 1994 - full set of detail photos here https://PaulBartlett.zenfolio.com/jsummersorehopper/e1ef8ba71 Their internal user fleet was stuffed with 'odd wagons' https://PaulBartlett.zenfolio.com/llanwernbsc Paul 2

Pretty sure of my ground here, Paul - three of us identified it independently. It was just at the entrance to a car park by a leisure centre. 4
Mark Saunders
Two different locations there was the one at Thirsk (Carlton Minniot) Station intact on the remains of the coal drops and Thirsk Town! 2
Wickham Green too
That's certainly not the same as the N.B.R. vans above ......... could it be another N.E.R. variant ? 2

That is surely an NER dia G4 road van, one of the earlier ones with external cross-bracing and horizontal planking. These were four-wheeled vehicles. jwealleans
Clearly all 3 of us were wrong, then Darryl. I didn't get the chance to measure it and what was left of the number didn't get me anywhere when I tried searching for it.

Wickham Green too
That's PROBABLY ADM40321 - listed out of use at Bescot in the 1985 Platform 5 book. It was still there in January '88 - but no more than 'DM4' was even slightly legible. 4

eastwestdivide
Had trouble identifying this van with offset doors - no numbers! Stratford, it came round the curves behind a 37 in 1985. Seemingly freshly painted markings, especially the DO NOT OIL by the suspension. Are some of the markings incomplete (the ones with "LIFT" in the centre)? Paaintwork somewhat patchy. No visible maker's plate either:
