  1. The accurascale video mentions its having full restoration. I've also seen comments saying if was the one on the low loader in the Channel 4 program "The Bashers" so a small claim to fame.
  2. Being a member of the Goods Division I can confirm there was a plan to do a few different local wagons as exclusives for the main shop but it didn't work out in the end. Hopefully there will be more and maybe not restricted to the PO range. We will have some on our online shop in a few weeks for those unable to get to the railway to purchaslockquote widget
  3. Another exclusive has been revealed over on Facebook "We are delighted to announce that on Saturday 27th April we will launch for sale our G. Newington & Co. 5-Plank Wagon which has been produced exclusively for us by Rapido. The limited edition run of 100 comes with a numbered certificate and will initially only be available by visiting the Carriage Shop at Horsted Keynes station. All profits from the sale of this model are being donated to the Bluebell Railway Goods Division."
  4. Pretty sure "the rivet counters" complained about the cab light because it was red and not warm white as it should have been?!
  5. Received the Kernow exclusive Moger. Very impressive in all aspects. The brake gear is particularly fine with separate inner/outer Vee hangars and proper split push rods for the brake blocks. What's also a very neat piece of design is the draw gear rods double up as the centering device for the coupling pockets. Looking forward to the SECR & LBSC wagons later in the year.
  6. I can sort of see why Hornby recommend using the opened chimney as it seems to force the steam up one opening. I haven't got one but I wonder what would happen to the steam if you cut the "web" in the bottom half of the double chimney back leaving it open below but still looking like a double chimney from the top. Wonder if it would help direct the blast up both openings?
  7. Having spent time last year smartening up the paintwork on the sole survivor I have been looking for one to add to my collection. I would definitely put my name down for a couple of them. Seen on the 19th April last year:
  8. That's a very long development period on them models!
  9. From what I remember there is two different chimneys being modelled. It's probably easier from a tool-making point of view to split the chimney there and just change the top half than have it in one piece and end up having two or more smoke box mouldings.
  10. The most recent Newsletter had an image of the boiler/firebox and cab being castings.
  11. This has appeared on Facebook this morning. Have to say it's looking absolutely fantastic! Amazing level of detail under the boiler and in the cab.
  12. They do look rather nice. Not ordered any yet but may do seeing them now they have arrived. Does anyone know what the green stripes on the corners of the vans mean?
  13. The email did mention the green being wrong on the SECR livery Edit, crossed with Frans reply. Also looks like they missed the lighter green between the Red/Yellow lining. Don't think 556 is preservation livery because to my knowledge none of the P's have carried SR livery in pres. Probably should both be green.
  14. Rails have posted an image of the livery samples this morning. I've not ordered any yet but the early livery is really looking great and would break up my mostly Maunsell era livery rolling stock.
  15. When you search Accurascale you get a load more products listed. 37's, 50's, Banana Vans and more.
