I wonder how many of those links are "duffs"?

Joking aside, it can't be easy keeping track of them all.

  3. All I meant is that occasionally individuals' ISPs (Internet Service Providers) occasionally have a problem seeing some images (AOL and their browsers seem to be the worst for it) and it's not anything Gilbert can change at his end. The post with the images was duplicated during one of our regular server glitches, one was removed. maybe there's some hangover from that.
  4. They seem to be displaying fine here so it could be an ISP issue.

Please can you read this and act accordingly - http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/47303-blog-quality/ Without some substance the blog won't be of interest to readers at all.

  13. No problem with that Stu; the answer is 205 completed forms.

    EBay madness

Aah yes; one of our 'former' members who has 'pro' weathered the Mermaid. I also note that one of his 'learned' friends who was jumping to his defence has been stockpiling a few NRM Deltics and adding £75.00 to his purchase price as soon as their stocks ran low. Free market? Maybe but I'm not that keen on it when I see opportunists making more money than the retailer whose investment brought such products to fruition. Whichever you look at it it's only good for one person.

  16. I chime in somewhat belatedly on Gilbert's topic although I've taken a close interest in developments through this topic. Having had the pleasure of seeing PN in the flesh now I can wholeheartedly say that the layout is superb. What is more outstanding though is the thought processes which come together in the formation of a coherent and interesting project which undeniably has a very strong presence of time and place. One of the reasons that the layout is so good is because of what's not there. It's an excellent example of making provision for what's off-scene and operating accordingly to make the portion modelled all the more credible and enjoyable to experience. Although there's a massive amount to the layout it hasn't been spoiled by attempting to include more than is necessary to make it authentic nor does it over-reach itself in attempts to try and bring too much into the layout. If this were an exhibition layout, it would certainly come to be regarded as a particularly popular layout having all the ingredients of a crowd-pleaser. I'd dropped by to see Gilbert on my travels really to see if I could help out on the camera front as I'd picked up on the frustrations of illustrating the project and it was purely a case of setting up the white balance for different lighting and then a bit of point and shoot at track level. I look forward immensely to seeing the layout develop, particularly when the buildings start to appear and it would be great to do some shots including techniques for extending the depth of field as the expresses call and pass through the station to capture the scope of the layout. In the meantime I know people are in for some really evocative images in the not too distant future.
  17. Unfortunately I didn't get chance to nip down to Wolverhampton on Sunday Frank after domestic duties and a recalcitrant 22 as I did want to come down to say thank you once again to you and Mark Forrest. It was a pleasure to feature Pen Y Bont in MI2 as it is a well executed and attractive layout of which you should be proud. Coincidentally I drove through the real Pen Y Bont on the way back from a photo job on Saturday having taken a detour over Bwlch-y-groes and Lake Vyrnwy for the hell of it as it was such a beautiful autumn day with rather special light (and in Wales too!). Anyway, I digress. I appreciate the health issues and standing for a whole weekend, bending and stretching, starts to take a toll irrespective of health problems and if you need a hand with shows around the Midlands please don't hesitate to give me a shout and I'm sure someone may like to step forward to give a hand when you're further from home in other areas.
