  1. Thanks for that - it seems to work - I typed in a few search words with decent results.
  2. Hi Jerry Should be on this link - with adverts unfortunately https://uktvplay.uktv.co.uk/shows/the-architecture-the-railways-built/watch-online/6230297462001 Chris
  3. Yes - it also allows me to use the overset and underset versions if necessary although 148s are my go to coupler. The scale heads (158) are easier on the eye but I find they are a little less reliable in use.
  4. My own experience on a small layout which requires constant shunting and uncoupling is that the boxed versions are more reliable. Chris
  5. Here you go - today at Little Sodbury Hill Fort. I saw this and thought of NHY 581 instantly...
  6. This may help: https://tcsdcc.com/ukoffice
  7. My hotel room in York is now booked for our Easter 2022 break.
  8. 73964 is doing route learning (possibly on hire to Colas) around Bristol.
  9. You clearly don't understand marketing....
  10. It would be worth buying a small Bachmann wagon or coach and trying with a box. Once you've cracked it you'll be fine - but get a gauge - preferably the newer dual ended one plastic one which sets both coupler and mounting height. No affiliation to this supplier - it just came up first on a search. https://www.hobbies.co.uk/kadee-ho-scale-insulated-coupler-height-gauge?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaignid=6727975578&utm_campaign=Shopping-Research_Campaign&utm_term=&adid=388174523725&addisttype=gpla&matchtype= I've moved over to boxes for 80-90% of my stock as I need operational reliability..
  11. I tried a new walk today near Chipping Sodbury....planned to coincide with this...although given the undergrowth and catenary I was lucky to get a picture. Nice bridge though..
  12. So far so good - I don't run my coaches on long trains over long distances - mainly shuttles and shunts.
  13. I'm not sure if it had a cross member to start with but I have done so on other stuff with no noticeable effect.
  14. I'l dig out the FB tomorrow and check but I don't recall any problems....
  15. I use the HO gauge with OO stock. It's an essential tool. I also use a mixture of NEMs and new mountings for non-NEM KDs. If you want good operation its not just plug and play sadly. This is a Bachmann MK1 Full brake.
  16. Were these used from the early days of the PFBs?
  17. This may help https://www.hamodels.net/parkside-dundas-wagon-kits/parkside-dundas-4mm-underframe-kits-wheels-bearings-required.html
  18. When a I retired I bought a re-furnished HP Z-Book. I also got a work station etcbut during Lockdown I've lost my office so its back to the knee....The technician in the high street shop has one as well and does a lot of video stuff. I'm no expert but it seems pretty good compared with my other half's personal and professional Laptops - and she's an IT person.....
