  3. Your comment is spot on but I do wonder about one or two shows that have a relatively late afternoon finish - I think 5.00pm is quite acceptable unless a specific later evening close has been advertised - as with one or two shows that open on Fridays. Chris
  4. I have to visit on Sunday which means a car journey but I can of course fit more in my car than in a shopping bag I have to carry back to Bristol on a train.....

  7. Some very gentle washes and air brush weathering - most (but not all) DRS locos do seem to be kept pretty clean..I'm yet to use any pigments but it won't need much.
  8. As well as the normal "Railfreight" roster at Fareham we may also try a bit of DRS activity with some PFAs etc. To that end I've been starting a few weathering projects.. Chris H
  9. Always my first choice for sound decoders and DCC equipment. Great customer service. Chris H
  10. A few days ago I ordered a couple of extra TUAs for Penmaenbach and as an extra weathering project. I've just had them delivered by a very friendly driver from APC - speedy service and well-packaged - my thanks to the guys at Rainbow Railways Chris H
  11. "If you bought second hand there is no warranty" That's his reason....nothing to do with politics.... Chris H
  12. One assumes that Accurascale would be within their rights to to withold follow up support if the model is not purchased from themselves or one of their authorisd retailers..and given one or two 37s have been returned this could be an issue...or am I talking *******? Chris H
  13. Not mine Jim but it popped up in my Youtube feed just you posted yours - I simply watched on Railcam in real time! I'd have loved to have done the trip - the route goes past the end of my old road in Liverpool in about 20 minutes!
  14. The layout section of the website has had an update - at least the desciption of Penmaenbach is vaguely accurate now... https://fareham-mrc.org.uk/railex-model-railway-layouts/
  15. on layouts or on sale (or possibly both)? My 00 layout Penmaenbach will be at Fareham 7/8 Oct and uses the new BH track...(large points only as the medium had not been invented by the time I built it)....but with diesels.... Chris H
  16. Cheers - I've now added as many layout names as I can.
  17. I popped in today - bumped into lots of modelling acquaintances, found a few bargains, got a fair few questions answered and took a few phone photos - once again not really sorted or labelled yet but here if you want them...it was good to see Ian Rice's Cades Green in action...click on the photo for the album..a splendid day out - my thanks to all responsible.
