  1. That makes sense - thank you and also to 6990 WS - there were lots of very frustrated folk at Carlisle trying to get to Newcastle etc. for whom there was no rail replacement bus as Northern had issued a "do not travel" notice
  2. Quick photos at Carlisle on Saturday. I believe the headcode was 6Z78 but I can't find it on any of the websites such as RTT or Railcam
  3. I think so but please check...I'm away from the layout atm
  4. High end budget-wise...and I've never tried anything complicated....
  5. I've gone up to 60 thou for big structures - and Limolene is a good adhesive for big areas
  6. Can you leave them attached to a bit of sleeper and disguise it?
  7. Will this be available in advance - some of us plan our Warley route in advance as we simply can't see everything on the day.. Chris
  8. Some of us were very grateful for those Lima 20, 37 and 47 models..just saying.
  9. Its a matter for the individual modeller - I am a weatherer and my paint volumes are very low so I hope risk is also low... Chris H
  10. Interestingly Royal Scot 46100 was on a railtour to Paignton etc. Everything ran pretty much to time...which was a surprise frankly...although there was bit of single line working... https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:U54616/2023-10-18/detailed https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:U54620/2023-10-18/detailed Chris H
  11. Maybe I should possibly have added more detail..this was 6M67 with 88 007 Electra and 60 019 Brutus seen at Bedminster near Bristol TM today with 4 FNA-Ds (which is certainly a personal record for me)
  12. Seems like you've finished an important part of the layout just in time to forget to load it into the Sheepmobile....
  13. This is a TPE 68 DRS 88 combo today.. https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:H31545/2023-10-19/detailed
  14. True Even many commercially available booths have small print somewhere suggesting they are not suitable for solvent based paints...although as with anything its up to the individual modeller to weigh up their appetite for risk - both in terms of probability and impact. Chris H
  15. My instruction leaflet says M2 x 5 - and they are cheeseheads Chris H
  16. Thanks - that explains things hopefully.....doh...
  17. I know this has been covered somewhere but I can't find it - the speaker clips needs screws - I have two locos to do - what size are they and where can they be obtained? Surprised they were omitted frankly. Chris H
