Small charity model railway show at Richard Heathcote Community Primary School, Alsagers Bank, Staffordshire. ST7 8BB Adults £3 Children £1 Proceeds towards the RNLI and School
  2. Good evening, This post comes very late on in the day but we have been given the opportunity to run an exhibition again at Alsager's Bank. This show again is being run for charity, this time our support shall be to the RNLI and the school itself. This shall be a low key event but hopefully an enjoyable day to run trains. We have a lot more space available this time if required, so I open the floor to any rmwebers who have a layout they would like to bring to a show feel free to contact myself, and I'll see what can be done. Many Thanks Benjamin
  3. I know the feeling with a layout living in a container, Weaver Hill suffers the same, and is only able to see the light of day at a show. The quality if N now has really made me consider downsizing. I've a few items of N and always enjoy running them on the club layout. It's Revolution that has really opened this market up to myself with their units, something that's lacking in the 00 market.
  4. Hello Went today , and a very good choice of layouts , had a good few hours there, Well done to the team
  5. The 87s on the steel look great, still an excellent layout and with all this wcml stock coming on line it's really adding to your layout.

  7. Focussing on the design I like the way the four tracks reduce to two. You only really need two trains running at a time and it stops the inside line having a tight curve. I know on our own layout we have just gone with 4 separate circuits but the inside line does carry some stock restrictions I like the liner train with the pair of RFD 47s
  8. Hi, I had a similar issue but ut was sorted by Alex.
  9. BV206.......that's shall do lovely. I think I'll pop and order in now at least for a wagon load
  10. Looking forward to seeing this layout progress, The quality of n gauge now makes me think I should swap gauges. What size is the layout? Less is more and this is going to nail that concept. Excellent start what shall be a great project.
  11. Good Evening, Only a small update showing an item of stock for Ludlow. We shall be running the layout in an early 90s. I am currently smartening up some Lima MK3 pullmans for the Manchester Pullman. I'll be adding flush glazing to this. I've weathered the roof and underframe and the interior shall be painted. Cheers
  12. Looking forward to watching the development of this layout. WCML modelling appears to be gaining momentum with a few layout threads now on the topic which is great to see.
  13. We are all back now and the layout is packed back away unfortunately in storage. It has been an excellent weekend and we really enjoyed it. It was good to run something completely different on the layout and it is an era we shall be returning to it. The layout as always performed well with the rough running part of the norm now. It has survived another weekend though. An excellent show has been put on by the BRM team so well done with a very busy day on the Saturday. Sunday was not as busy but still well attended.
  14. Day 1 at Doncaster is complete, we had enjoyable day and the guess stock ran well even though some of it was showings it's age. The HST running very well after not running for a considerable amount of years. Slight change around of the stock for tomorrow but still maintains the ecml theme. We had one complete failure of a fiddle yard line today so that needs to be looked at and hopefully sorted tomorrow. There has been a lot of head scratching trying to sort that. Tony Wright was over taking photos for BRM, I know Andy was doing the same at Crewe but unfortunately due to camera settings were unable to be used. (Debbie said your for the sack now Andy 😂😂😂) Thanks for putting on an excellent show and we look forward to tomorrow.
  15. We are nearly all set up at Doncaster now. We were a touch later than planned and only had an hour to set up but we got the majority of the layout up. Tomorrow morning it shall be getting the stock on and tearing. Slightly playing trains feel to the layout this weekend due to some friend's who live local to Doncaster taking over. An ecml feel with a flexible time frame.
  16. Evening, As with the coupling bars being a late additional is there any chance of some Cleethorpes destination for the TPE mk5s in the future now this has been added to their destinations even if it is only once a day. Ben
  17. You and me alike. I've not made as many as you but I've I've got three half done for my Esso longport service to be mixed in with a few other wagons
  18. I have a photo of all three on the ETD before the yellow ends were painted, now it is going to be a mission to go and find them. I always though 028 looked good with the full Belgium ends
  19. I would really like these in 00. I am surprised Hornby have not done them with the amount of locos available including their 71. As mentioned above though it shall come down to the fact it ran at night on a set route and not many people saw it. It counterpart the Golden Arrow on the other hand........ I do have a west country with the night ferry head board on in the cabinet ready for the day I'll be able to get some 00 ones. I do have a pair of 0 gauge westdale kits which I did start and really keep thinking I must finish. The kit is not bad with resin ends around the aluminium body shell. You do have to source your own bogies to go with the kit.
  20. We had a very enjoyable weekend with Weaver Hill, so thank you for the invite. It did look a well attended show which was good to see.
