  1. It looks like the loss is before exceptional items - and the acquisition of the rest of Oxford Group seems to be one of the exceptional items. It appears that lack of stock due to problems in supply and production in China are the causes of Hornby slipping back into the red. Not entirely surprising when you see how many items are not in stock (something impacting many retailers across a wide variety of products).
  2. Part of the problem here is that we are comparing a picture of a model shot under artificial light against a real life unit shot in daylight (which can vary itself according to weather and time of day). That real life unit may also have faded over time due to sunlight and general wear. In many ways it would be remarkable if the two did look exactly the same.
  3. So the last shall be first, and the first last... I wonder if this is purely a reflection of the fact that the InterCity variant has not yet recorded a delay and therefore may later end up being shifted to Jan/Feb 2022 (given that it was previously scheduled to be one of the last to appear). Or has it somehow managed to jump to the head of the queue? I'll not get too excited about seeing my InterCity Class 47 before Xmas just yet.
  4. @SouthernMafia Someone previously posted that CVs 116, 117 and 118 control lighting and that 7 is the default (118 being interior brightness). I haven't tried that myself yet to check it works OK, but the default certainly is quite bright.
  5. It would be sad if a significant level of cancellations lead Bachmann/Rails of Sheffield to conclude that the market isn't there for Scottish locomotives. The model may not be perfect in every aspect, but it is hard to see a better ready to run model of the 812 appearing anytime soon. Despite the criticisms here, my interest was piqued by Jennifer Kirk's review - since the BR versions would fit nicely for me. It wasn't a model which I had previously intended purchasing, but I'm now seriously considering it. I guess that at least there may be more stock available now...
  6. I plan to switch mine to Hunt Couplings, having less space and fewer wagons - so ultimately it shouldn't be an issue for me. I read @rembrow's comment and thought "strange, but luckily mine are OK". Then I tried to hook up a Bachmann wagon to my MDV rake. Now I see that he meant!
  7. It runs perfectly under Parallels on the Mac. A little more expensive than VirtualBox, but works fine with Windows 11.
  8. We fitted a TCS KA2 stay alive to our Bachmann Class 03. It transformed it from a locomotive which could barely run on straight track to one that could quite happily crawl over an Insulfrog double slip. I was very impressed with TCS and their level of service.
  9. I'd love to see these in 4mm too. But wouldn't we need a 4mm Class 28 to haul them? I wish Heljan would re-introduce that as well.
