as far as i know the boards came seperate in the OO version.
i have 2 that came that way.

It is interesting that you say that there was a later batch of HST's were made without the guards window. I was under the impression that the guards compartment window was blanked off on existing units.
Did I hear correct?
unsure how they were built, but sure it would be easier not to cut a hole for a window than fill one in.

that's an option i had considered, not as grand as the Cresent works in Peterborough, but it's do able

Thanks. Hand painted and no masking, risky with my shaky hand, but it came out ok.
