  1. DJ has been online, and would assume checked this thread as recently as 1701 today. Why not counter these wild claims and offer reassurance and assurance ? We are crying out for those two basic things, assurance and reassurance inspires confidence.
  2. I think you are correct, however I seem to recall (someone correct if I'm wrong, I may well be) that DJ did dip the toe to see if a their own 390 was viable.
  3. All well and good to sit back and not make a fuss, however you are an investor who after handing over payment to a contractor to provide you with a model, you have a right to accurate, truthful and transparent information at regular intervals. If that update is "steady as she goes, no real update - just checking in so you all know I'm not dead or the project is in crisis" then that's what's required. Information blackouts help no one, not the contractor or customer. Someone said above, and rightly so it's just a toy train at the end of the day. However real people had handed over real money, so it's not just a toy train, it's hard cash that people have saved or made economies for to enable them to place an order - they deserve morally updates and if required hard truths that the N Gauge version many we'll be dead. Some may recall DJ proposed a rival Class 390 in N Gauge, before Revolution took the lead with their own project.
  4. The lads at Minerva have proven that a one release at a time, then move onto the next generates cash, returns and good will among current and more importantly future customers. They are very active on social media, and provide detailed updates on here, there Pannier tank in O Gauge is more than likely going to be O Gauge model of year I think. DJs approach seems to be announce models like sweats to land grab, in an attempt to put off other companies, announce cutting edge, space age but untested features etc. DJ seems to be knocking out commission work quite rapidly, but then expects crowd funders to fund models that will after the itniql crowd funded release models, become standard money making items for DJ. I'm not in the game of funding people's future cash flow or profits, if there was a open admission that should crowd funding for the Class 92 not meet a certain number by a certain date, DJ would approach main stream retailers for orders then fair enough. But the whole project was sold as a crowdfunding scheme, not a "fund DJMs business". We often bash Bachman, Hornby and Dapol for announcing models, then not seeing them for years, anyone see a pattern here with DJ? Just because DJ is/was a RMWeb lovely, doesn't make him exempt from the same comments as the "big boys". Trust and confidenceis a very delicate thing, both of which I feel have been seriously hit
  5. Perhaps if DJ came out and said that he'd over committed himself product wise, and as a result only XYZ products he will commit to delivering by X date. The remainder are effective cancelled, this would certainly get back a lot of confidence lost through the tidal wave of tidal wave of announcements which slip and slip, I would love a O Gauge J94 saddle tank but the chances of one coming inside the decade are slim.
  6. The main range items funded by DJM we have no "right" to ask for updates, however when customers are funding the projects they have a right to information and certainty, if you've paid a upfront amount to get the project to a certain stage then the organisation who promised to deliver it, doesn't with no prior consultation that's when you get problems. If DJM can't fund or process several projects at the same time, then maybe they shouldn't announce projects which are pretty much at the ideas stage ? I think the OO Class 92 is a very good idea, and hope it'll progress and deliver. However I doubt the N Class 92 is viable as there is a competing project which is from a proven, award wining supplier. I've been burnt by the OO King project, I had three on order but now I'm left wondering will we ever see one.
  7. I managed to have a good look inside the sets before they left for Port Talbot, the seating is the same as previous pictures it looks very tough and hard, no sign of the padding you get in GWR Class 158s.
  8. 5X72 (0125 Port Talbot Parkway to Newport) with 800-003 & 800-004. Newport, South Wales - Tuesday 06th June 2017
  9. I for one would be up for one/two LT versions ! Can't see an issue with using their branding, Dapol are producing one.... Will the BR versions have the brackets for the smoke box number plates please ?
  10. Oh my goodness, what have you done ! The layout was great, I hope your going to continue with the theme
  11. I'd have thought there are a number of people who committed to the OO version, who have been discarded when that project when down the pan so are unwilling to commit to this one.
  12. I've a brace of the Minerva panniers on order, but I think I can see a Dapol version joinning them..just one though.
  13. Quick question, once all the versions of the model have been released, do you intend to release a 2nd batch? I'd like another 8750, and another 57XX type but I can't afford it this year.
  14. WCRC Supply steam crews in the main, although DB Cargo also have a pool.
  15. Will the cab "doors" be open or moulded closed ? Thanks
  16. Didn't Kernow buy the data and tooling from him ?
  17. Yes, it was erected after a LUL train ran through the stops and took out the OHL posts. When, I've no idea I'm afraid.
  18. London Mildand Class 350 can work upto 12 vehicle formations at 110mph, I believe it's only the original 350/1 and later 350/3 sets though.
  19. I've reserved both, but I've not received the confirmation email, I've checked my junk to. I assume it's gone through, just not posted the email out? Thanks
