Received mine this evening and they are superb, photos on my layout thread anon. A nice touch including some pipes for those who like the dangly bits on their models.

Having received mine this evening they look quite superb. Photos on my layout thread anon. Can anyone point me to a prototype photo of an O11/15 with the tarp bar in the resting position.

You can’t beat the use of Lifecolor paints for doing some weathering.

@Gilbert have a look at the photos taken of them in production late last year, they certainly look like the roof is removable.

It's great following the NTB thread. Some really interesting discussions and GWR talk.
I have just ordered a GWR 'Mink A' Dia. V14 No. 89268, GWR grey post-1936 livery. Looking forward to its arrival.👍
That's one of the ones I ordered @Kevin Johnson and as it's vac fitted will need some instanter couplings.😉

None of these to be seen in a layout setting yet chaps.

With the release this week of the GWR wagons from Rapido, the V14/16 Mink A ,Y4 Banana and 011/15 open , would the vacuum fitted examples have instanter and non fitted, three link couplings .

For those who like to use Hunt couplings the extra close [XC] version work nicely here on my tightest curves. You could probably go closer if you trimmed and glued them but that would be a permanent fix. I don't have any of the Ultra Close type in stock but will try these at a later date. I've also added the extra pipes as supplied in the polybag and they don't interfere with the running.

I've fitted the extra pipes and screwlinks as supplied in the polybag. In my opinion these are cosmetic use only as they are very fragile. Extra close Hunt couplings bring the gap down nicely although a sliver of packing card is necessary to stop the slop in the NEM socket. Here they are behind my replacement Dapol mogul which has had the smokebox door changed to a correct GWR version.

I'd really like to see a range of six-wheeled milk tankers in 4mm scale to the standard that we appear to be in line for from Dapol with the Air Ministry fuel tankers when thy arrive.
I would rather see Accurascale or Rapido tackle these John @Dunsignalling

Anyone else having this problem, I'm on Virgin Media and haven't changed any settings.

My reading of that thread is that while bauxite was adopted during the war, the small ‘S’ prefix would have been a post-nationalisation feature.
Some judicious weathering from @toboldlygo will hide that then.😉A photo in the pamphlet that comes with the models also shews a stone liveried 50886 taken in 1938.It has the post-36 style lettering.

Ah, Rule #1. 🙂 I'm not interested in them myself, I was just curious on the livery choice.
You've had me questioning my memory but a post on the relevant thread by @Islesy October '22 confirms. It was validated by SR guru Mike King which is good enough for me.

Makes it almost as difficult as sneaking 0 gauge stuff into the house!
These are a Christmas present from the children from December 2022.😉

Is it me or are boxes getting bigger and more fancy?
I'm all for it as it adds to the shopping experience.😉

Does ANTB run post 1948?
If the stock is of a quality I'll bend my rules.😉Banana traffic ceased during WW2 and as there's no photo evidence to the contrary , bauxite will do for me at the moment. @Islesy is the man to ask as he did the thorough research for this model.

I had not realised the stone livery didn't last too long.
I'm pretty sure you could run stone and bauxite in the postwar period. @Islesy suggested these for my period and Muz @Graham_Muz would have the stone version.

Always a pleasure to be able to delete 'NYA' on gwr.org.uk, but these days, to reflect modern marketing methods, I wonder if I should introduce an 'ASO' for all sold out...
I'll be taking photos of mine early next week if you want to use them on the website @Miss Prism

Excuse the poor camera phone photos but I thought I'd shew you the excellent quality of the packaging for the Accurascale banana vans. These models are really something else indeed. They are superb and look at that underframe detail. More anon.

4 generations of liveries on our upcoming GWR V14 and V16 vans.
From the top we have 25", then 16" GW lettering, post-'36 and post-'42 GW, followed by BR unfitted freight grey and vacuum-braked bauxite livery.
These colour samples hopefully give a taste of what's to come as the wagons are currently being shipped to the UK.A little birdie tells me these have arrived.
