Indeed. I know very little about 'sport' and care even less,
Well the offside law in football is now more complicated than Dean Churchward brake gear if that helps.🙄

May I add my congratulations to this threads @BenL @Islesy team Ipswich getting to the Premier League and of course to @Mallard60022 Plymouth Argyle for staying up, at least I can go to one game next season.😀

A heads up from a seller on eBay , no connection, that does removeable resin coal loads that fit these wagons. Although the listing states for Bachmann minerals, a note to the seller and he will amend his mould accordingly. Available un-primed as shewn or primed and finished.
Recommended.

Very nice @Neal Ball and surely it can’t be too much longer to wait for our Dapol toplights.

Hmmmm .... suggests SOMEONE might be ( or might have been ) interested !
They should be , it’s low hanging fruit to a quality manufacturer.- 5

Whilst you're on here Graham @Graham_Muz can you confirm the lack of pipework on the roof of the shirtbutton [2603] is correct please. A model photo shewing the roof would be nice too.😉

These are welcome, but a shame they duplicate the serviceable Parkside kit.
As someone who was never happy with his kit built version, particularly the steps, these are very welcome @County of Yorkshire

Just to confirm that the shirtbutton version 2603 is a S9 from lot 1307, info courtesy of the GWRJ article by John Lewis via @BenL In service till 1958. A nice photo of an example at Snow Hill in '47 whets the appetite.

An absolute bargain at that spec for this model.

Diagrams S8,9 and 10 I believe. Less than 30 sheets too sounds like a bargain to me.

I reckon that'll be the LSWR Corridor's Rob, in a nice presentation box as we've come to love from EFE.
I was actually thinking more along the lines of another variation of the LSWR van released last year or something completely new.😉

Something new coming in the EFE range too according to a chap on their stand at the weekend.

Good news indeed, not just re these locos but, in the case of the 517, to see a manufacturer announcing a new RTR model of a loco class that didn't make it to nationalisation.
Interesting news this one, again we thank Richard Webster's @coeurdelyon influence at Dapol to do these. I'm sure Brian @BMacdermott will tell us how well the 517 polled last time.

I will be very tempted to get a wartime black example to upgrade my DJM 1470 to something that actually works

I'm pleased this exhibition appears to have gone down well, after the shock of January things are rocking and rolling again in the world of modelling.
I would have liked to have gone, but as I've probably mentioned I don't so much like crowds these days,
You would have been fine as the show is well spread out on one level not like GETS at all. Enjoyed the mixed modelling idea and my only criticism is the long walk from the station bearing in mind the older demographic of our hobby. Certainly be going back next year. Really pleased for Pete and the Railnuts getting the record and being featured on the Midlands news, I'm sure this boosted the attendance.

Most definitely not.

35, 64 and 108 also ready for weathering and will keep 1509 company on my shunting plank. As another ex-Coventry kid it only seems proper 😁

There are numerous things that are much more pressing, yet my finger keeps hovering over the buy button..... I have a Hornby Grange that I have weathered but never got round to fitting a decoder, quite tempted to see what I can get for it on ebay to cover part of the cost of one of these.....
Rapido haven't given the exact locos and liveries that they are producing yet, so no option to order one yet anyway @The Fatadder

A Nod To Brent - a friendly thread, filled with frivolity, cream teas and pasties. Longing for the happy days in the South Hams 1947.

Seen before but the photos were lost in the crash, my late fathers O gauge S8 number 2145. Built from the WEP kit by Chris Quilliam to a very high standard. I'm sure I have the destructions somewhere and if I remember correctly came with a roof plan for the furniture. Maybe if I can find it someone like @Harlequin could redraw it to 4mm scale.😉If anyone's interest I can turn it over to shew the undergubbins.
