Ditto what Nick said.I do like siphons myself.I've always fancied doing one of those siphon c's myself. Are they sraightforward ?Even the Dart Castings platform seat looks superb.Top modelling.

I'll pop my head over the parapet at Railex Chris. It will be nice to see you mate.

Mikkel. If you don't watch out you will become a GWR legend.Absolutely superb.

Mikkel. You've done it again with superb modelling and excellent storytelling.I do like the horse. You could always model the horsebox with the doors open.Theres a nice photo in Russells coach book of one albeit a later diagram.
I admire Ms Wilkinsons patience.I also have a lady like her in similar clothes but she doesn't have a name yet.
I remember seeing a fabulous model of that Colin Waite horsebox in an old MRJ a few years ago with brakegear so exquisite. The brake pull rods were modelled it looked so real.I couldn't do it justice.
Keep up the excellent modelling.

I fear the incinerated turkey would be too much of a challenge to model - although of course for a prototype to study all I have to do is look in our own oven
You 'll have to 'pluck' up the courage to model that....
Wheres my coat........

Mikkel.I really enjoy your storytelling.Did you know that Charles Dickens was a director of the GWR ?

Actually Rob I am planning to use it for a shed scene later on instead. It's yet another item from the Mike's Models range. This is the platform mounted version and was actually of the later cranked type, but I couldn't get the straight one so I rebuilt it. But you can get the straight one now from Holt Model Railways, although so far only the floor mounted one it seems.
I'm after a couple of the platform mounted versions but to no avail.I'm even looking on ebay. They are like hens teeth.

Mikkel. If that water crane is 'surplus to requirements' are you taking offers on it. :icon_wow: I'm in agreement with the others concerning the blue outfit. Its fine.

Mikkel.I like your storytelling. How do you think up the names for the figures ? Delightful.

Hi Robin, here's the process:
1. On GWR e-list, go to files > Fonts & Logos
2. Click the font "GWR Nameboards.ttf" and save it to the "Fonts" folder on your computer (mine is at C:/Windows/Fonts).
3. Close the download. You now have the font installed. To actually make the sign:
4. Open a new Word document (if that's what you've got) and turn on the "Draw" tool-bar
5. Make a "textbox" the size of your station sign (you can always adjust this)
6. Set the background colour of the textbox to black
7. Set the font colour to white
8. In the font selection option, find and select the now installed "GWR Signs" font
9. Write your text in the box, and align/center/space words as appropriate
10. Print and cut out sign. You'll need to choose the highest level of print quality.
Sounds a bit laborious, but if all goes well it's actually a fairly quick job. Finding the "Fonts" folder in step 2 can be the most tricky bit!
Thanks Mikkel for a very detailed reply !

Mikkel. Can you tell me how you did the lettering on the nameboards using the file download off the GW E list please.

Hi Mikkel.Absolutely superb modelling mate.I enjoy the story you put together very well.I like you little cameos, something I'm doing too on my layout.I really like your canopies. Those station lamps you mention from DCC Concepts look promising as I've had a look myself. They are a tad pricey at ??10 per lamp but I will have a closer look at the Warley show and report back. You've done an excellent job with those figures. :icon_cool: I'm too a big fan of the Montys range.Have you seen Aidan Campbells range of Edwardian types ?
