Lovely job but I'm confused with the Modelmaster plates having dimension problems as I used them on mine with no fault. However a trick is to cut around just the name and not to use the distance piece. It also keeps the Hornby lining for good measure. Here is my 5049 done this way http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/gallery/image/53800-br-liveried-castle-class-5049-earl-of-plymouth/ I used the Beverston donor for mine.

Very nice.I particularly like the paintwork on the doors which screams GWR and the chocolate machine.Nice touches that bring it to life.
-
A lot of the POWsides kits now use Parkside Dundas sides I think.Better quality imo.
-
Did that star Gill Gasgoine? *
Fear not! There's GWR stock on my workbench for the Teign Valley project.
Cheers,
Mark
* Showing my age there a bit.
Quite fit if I remember right.Glad to hear of some GWR stock too.

Amazing work as usual Mark and how you can switch from one project to another easily amazes me too.Like the Tamar touch.
-
Rich.If you have a spare Collett 4000g tender I'd swap it for the Hawksworth type that will come with my Wellington, eventually.
-
A nice rake you have there Kev.There's something nice about 7mm scale.
-
Fantastic work as usual Mikkel. It might seem a stupid question but what kind of load would these wagons have carried back in the early 1900s.
-
It would be interesting to see what Coachman could do with one of these.
Cheers,
Mark
Yes I'd love to see him wave his magic wand over one.
You don't hang around do you Mark.I thought you were lettering some GPV's !
-
You've done a cracking job of building that.
-
The thing that stands out for me is those hideous wheels on the Dapol County.Nothing finesse about those and not as easy to remedy as a smokebox door handle !
-
I too have a couple of these in olive as they are too nice not to have even for a GWR modeller.Imagine a siphon g to this standard Mark.A lovely job you've made.Again.
-
Very nice work all round Mark.Did you put any weight inside the GPV or is it underneath.I find Parkside kits very lightweight in build.I too like the way you do your colouring, very effective.
-
You need to wait till November 5th to paint those Parkside gunpowder wagons.
-
Fabulous modelling Mikkel.I particularly like the 'Farthing' lettering and how you got the transfers to sit down nicely, something I struggled with on a Coopercrap cattle wagon I built. How long did this diagram last in service ?
-
Lovely work as usual Mark especially the paintwork on those wagons. There's a housing estate being built on the former site where your tractor was built. So Fergie tractors weren't always red then and all thats missing is a glass of cider for those figures.Bring on the GWR...

Al, this really so great stuff mate, can almost see Don Breckon painting at the trackside, your work very much reminds me of his paintings. Keep em coming!
Very much so and so easy to replicate with the available Monty's casting.Excellent work Al.
-
Lovely set of photos Kev.I only ever see it at Christmas and never been to the engine house yet ! 4566 looks spendid in her Great Western livery.
-
Thanks Miss P an BT.
According to a reliable source the camera may well be a Thornton-Pickard Reflex camera as used by no other than Norman Lockett .
Now you're talking.A man after my own heart.Lovely job Mark.Nobodies told you the paint job is the wrong shade yet like they did with my Fordson tractor ! Great weathering job.
-
I think The Stationmaster was talking to 247 about doing an etch for them.Nice work Al.I like your barn too.
-
Very good Mark.Do you think it would work the same with aerosols as I don't have an airbrush.
-
I do like the way you've painted the roof.Any chance of showing how you did it sometime ?
Did these coaches make it up the Teign Valley line then.lol. -
You've done a cracking job there Redgate.
-
Nice work and you've made me look at my 3796 for the same additions.Great prototype photo.
