Very nice and as you mentioned the Mitchell kit I've often wondered how many of them actually run on layouts.Having said that I really wish Hornby had another look at this model.
-
Brilliant Mikkel. You're the Charles Dickens of RMweb !.Happy 200th birthday ! Seriously though your modelling is inspiring.
-
Absolutely superb and I want one now ! Fitting some lead would fix my hauling problems too.
-
Loving the 45xx Chris and nicely weathered too.Have you chose her number yet ? Both Fox and 247 do several choices.
-
Absolutely cracking. Those WEP kits really are well detailed and build up into superb models.
-
Frank. What make is the lovely turned brass chimney please ?
-
Impressive Mikkel.Whats the shade you used in the Valejo range ?
-
Looking good there CK.I'm a big fan of Townstreet kits and the painting will bring it alive.
-
Well played sir.A bargain for sure. What livery have you planned ?
-
Unbelievable...
But what are they saying to each other I wonder.
-
Its coming along nicely Chris.Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh too.
-
Mikkel. That canopy roof using the Wills sheets looks superb to my eyes and I could live with those edges myself.
-
Beautiful stuff Mikkel. The paintwork on those coaches looks superb.
-
That's a very nice looking bridge - is it commercially available?
I don't think so as I bought it back in the mid 90s from a small ad in the Railway Modeller. If I remember right they were also available as a double track version. It will come alive when Chris paints it.
-
Looking promising Chris. What have you planned for 'my' bridge paint wise ?.
-
PM sent Chris.I might have the bridge to fit your needs.Liking the Cornish themed layout.
-
Now I know what you wanted GWR grey for Mikkel.Thats a cracking model and those Geen kits turn out very nice.Did you solder it or chicken out like me.
-
Don't you need to use an etching primer on the brass first.I would have thought the paint would chip easily if not used as it bonds well the brass.Nice coaches though.
-
Fabulous clip Chris. How did you do the lines on the film to make it look old ?
I'm amazed how they ran locos back then without a crew.
-
Can I echo the Captains words.Seen this at shows and always thought its how the GWR should be modelled.Exquisite is an excellent choice of word.
-
Will have a look, sounds promising. Is this still in Bill's range or in the stuff thats passed to Eileens? Again definitely sounds like something I need to see!
When I get a minute I'll post a photo of them but I got them from here.

coach building services, lost wax cast coach couplings/pipes

I don't know if you're aware of a close coupling made by Bill Bedford for these sets that would be nice as it has the pipes between the pair of coaches.I will follow this build with interest.

You've done a very nice job there.I don't recognise the number so are they etched cabsides ? Don't forget to fit the rear vacuum pipe.
