Did anyone notice me in the 'evacuation pics'?

What a fabulous photo find this is of wartime evacuees at Brent courtesy of the Imperial War Museum.Recognise my signal box. The train to Kingsbridge awaits behind.

This last one has the original overbridge in the background and lots of coach detail.

The GWR footbridge in this style that you need to maintain " tone" for Brent is this (third item down) : http://www.scalelink.co.uk/acatalog/Kits___Scale_1_76__OO_HO____Kits.html. but unfortunately it doesn't seem to come with a complimentary understanding bank manager. Ouch.
Oh yes I know about the Scalelink kit but I'm not sure my slobering skills would be up to it and it's not a quite exact match for the one at Brent as shewn here.http://www.disused-stations.org.uk/b/brent/index2.shtml

Lovely pictures.
Like the figures. Where are they from ?
Thanks JM.All my figures are from the excellent Monty's range by Dart Castings.ie. the airman is MLV27 http://www.dartcastings.co.uk/montys/MLV27.php

Among other things, it has these infills: http://www.geolocation.ws/v/W/File%3AFootbridge%2C%20Hagley%20Station%20-%20geograph.org.uk%20-%20293802.jpg/-/en
On the other hand, it's too high, because Hornby added extra stairs and lengthened the columns so catenary wires could pass underneath. But it would give you something to do next weekend!
That's one of the reasons I like the Hagley version.Alan has used the venerable Hornby version on Wencombe and has mentioned it's height before.I need something to get the Finching sisters and others over to the Plymouth platform.

Kingham Branch ?

A few more including a view of the airman chatting from the other direction.More soon...
On a side note what are ones opinions on me buying one of these for my platform until I can sort a correct version for Brent out.

As mentioned earlier in the thread that I have the excellent b&w photo book by David S Fish http://www.abebooks.co.uk/servlet/BookDetailsPL?bi=8471614406&searchurl=bsi%3D0%26amp%3Bds%3D30%26amp%3Bisbn%3D187127706x
With all shots taken on the South Devon banks.I've recreated one such scene using 6015/3440 that were on their way to Cornwall in September '57 with an excursion from Paddington. The coaching stock was a mixture of liveries but I'm using choc/cream with modellers licence.Which also allows me to use an incorrect reporting number as it should be 100.Hey ho.
Here they are on familiar ground....

Haven't we been round this loop before?
Probably but I've been to sleep since then. A little bird tells me 5091 still had Churchward upper tender lining in 1946.A photo of it in Nocks 'Stars,Castles and Kings' book.
-
Do I need to remove the upper tender lining on a post war G badge W liveried version then.
-
A suitable point to waft a couple of shots under your nose then from the, now dusty, pre-prods.
Do they need running in by the GWR mafia ?

The windows in that TOAD on the right look odd - no glass???????
Yes and it would be a pain/pane to model it like that and I'd get flak saying it was wrong.
-
It's got the right chimney!
They must have listened to you Miss P. Does the water scoop look too low to you ?

I know I may seem a bit over reactive but when the loco cost £149 plus the £89 for the sound decoder I think I may have a right to be getting cautious now.
Plus the cost of a tank of petrol to sort it.

Headline "Coaching Stock Crisis at Brent deepens after vandalised coach is removed for emergency repairs".
Now we know what it says on that poster board you asked about.
It actually says 'The new timetable may be purchased at the booking office.'

Third photo I think!
P
I blame those Argyll fans.

Kernow reports the star in stock for £118.99.
Simon Kohler isn't Pinochio after all and my hearing is ok too.

What does it say on the temporary GWR noticeboard ?
