Sorry to hijack this thread Tony but I'm interested in your fixed raked coaches and the connections between them.I know you use a soldered wire hook and a bar but how do you fix them to plastic bogies where you can't use a soldering iron.Is there a glue strong enough for a layout use rake being pulled.I have a rake of the old Airfix/Mainline siphons and want to get the gangways nearly touching if possible.
Yes the Modelmaster ones are over £9 a pair.If I keep 4003 as Lode I'll still need some.Thank goodness neither of my daughters names are also on the list of Stars.
Just browsing ebay and came across these two items for those who missed out on the first releases. No connection with seller.

Looking at your prototype photo above The one from Dart Castings looks a lot smaller in comparison. The MRJ drawing says 6x6 ft.

Soon will be that time of year again when the family takes a trip to Arley to see Mr C.Been doing this trip for years and is very enjoyable especially as there's usually some Western steam available.Last year we had 7812 so what will 2013 bring....
Look at that soot stained overbridge.
I'm sorry I can't help more but an email to these http://www.steampicturelibrary.com/ regarding your station and period might reap rewards.A query on the GWR E-list might be fruitful too.
Thanks Dave.As it stands it is for me too but it's for a good cause with Steam. The Churchward cab is crying out for a crew but Hornby have modelled the seats down unfortunately.
Anyway that's a job for the new year.A final few for the weekend as 4003 rounds my familiar Devon red soiled cutting to the fiddle yard.
My club has it's problem with it's owners SISU and is well documented but our owner hasn't quite come out with this load of trollop to it's supporters.
We've had a ground move to another town but not a name change yet.

Well here's Tommy Traddles wondering what that monstrosity is poking out the back of 4003 as he gets her ready for a 'Star Turn' this aft.No bogie change, coal, crew ,headlamps or detail pack added.Straight out the box Hornby.
