  1. A final few for today. Now how about a rtr offering of a full brake ? The NGS are doing one I believe but what about 4mm.
  2. Normal, whatever that is, service is resumed with one of my favourite trains that I own.4948 'Northwick Hall' on the down milk train to Penzance.RTR alongside a pair of Comet kitbuilt full brakes of the K40 & K42 varieties. Incidently I don't think I've shewn the K40 in close up before and can take no credit for this vehicle as I commissioned Brian Mosby [Mozzer] of this parish to build and paint it long before I started any layout.I only did some minor work on this like fitting MM gangways etc. This coach is at the rear of this train.More anon.
  3. See post 1439 Yes but he's in bits at the moment.I thinking of using the body on a Bachmann chassis. You don't get this on Diesels in The Duchy or Peterborough North do you.
  4. Thanks Ian.I hadn't noticed but 59 pages in 6 months is good.Hopefully most of the content is decent. Yes those hinges on Annie were a right old pain. Now that's a bit too clever by half.
  5. I'm just shewing off my latest rtr purchases including Tomy's answer to the B set.Annie and Claribel. Now Mikkel has slapped my wrist I will revert back to GWR type and post something a little more discerning.... Busiest threads ?
  6. Yes and here it is on shed going by the name of Thomas. To think I've been reduced to shewing my kids toys off instead of mine.Pah.
  7. Perhaps that's why I've just seen something in garter blue sat on shed at Tigley Junction.I'll go and get my camera......
  8. You're taking this excellent layout to another level then..... I'll get my coat, again.
  9. What do you use for your fall-plates Alan. You can still get the old Jackson Evans etch that you can trim to any GWR loco size available from Classic Trains in Leamington. What would you give to a brand new Manor from Bachmann.
  10. The shed foreman got a shock this morning when this came on shed.Tomy red no.5 James in whats now looking like their design clever. No moulded handrails at all.I don't know why he's smiling either as his wheels are not on the track.
  11. Bang on the money as was Twomanyspams. I modelled blackcurrant jelly in trifle if you must know. Those BR loco exchanges went a little to far.Not the up CRE is it.
  12. Its not golden brown. Its red. Its not a jubilee any which way or loose. Here are the clues. Its a red 0-6-0,black lining and has a tender and is/was made in Bangkok [ ] Thailand. Photos tomorrow.
  13. Fantastic work as usual Mikkel. It might seem a stupid question but what kind of load would these wagons have carried back in the early 1900s.
  14. I'm working up to it Ian. I trying to work out what to call the red as I don't want to upset the LMS brigade. I quite agree but a lot of work was needed to build that Comet build as there's nothing suitable rtr.
  15. Splitting hairs there my friend. It was BR,black and a big lump.Anyway it weren't as bad as that red thing .....
  16. Since I started this thread back in March I've had various requests for loco running from 'foreign' companies.I've had Twomanyspams wanting some Southern stock,Mallard60022 with his BR black 8F and Eastern origins offerings. Many others have tried,I've even had Mike the Stationmaster actually run his admittingly beautiful SECR C class on it. However nothing comes close to the sight I saw at Tigley Junction shed today. It made me shed a tear I tell you.It would make a glass eye weep. It was horrible and red.....to be continued..... Going for a lie down.
  17. I hope these sell well Ben and here's hoping one of the 4mm players fancies ago for people like me who never finish the Comet kit build version they started.I do like the plain choccy GWR version.
  18. I've just stumbled across a previously unseen on this thread photo of my Comet H57 restaurant coach in brass ready for painting for comparison.
  19. Really nice photos Colin but Spam's has got more chance of running SR stock than me having a BR blue period thanks. The signal box is in better nick then than it is today too.I've just noticed the crossover is still in place back then and how did you get to the viewpoint on that short viaduct ?
  20. What about 'Toilets in the Duchy' ? Can't do photoshoppery sorry. Nice stock btw Damian.
