  1. I agree and you can post any suggestions on the feedback page of the Dart Castings website. http://www.dartcastings.co.uk/feedback.htm
  2. I'll give a clue to its whereabouts by saying you would find it near to 'Beeching Halt' in the Torbay area.

    EBay madness

A lot of money wanted for a b&w photo.I bet Tim V would like it though. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CLUTTON-STATION-postcard-GWR-railwayana-Local-History-Real-Photo-/181114300036?pt=UK_Collectables_Postcards_MJ&hash=item2a2b40e684
  4. You're probably correct here.There was a recent thread here http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/50513-horsebox-useage/ and here http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/42986-horse-boxes/
  5. Its a shame that 'the two sons of God', Roy Keane and Martin O'Neill haven't really come on as much as we thought after being taught by the great one [Clough].
  6. Thats a good question Miss P and I don't have a definite answer as I've never seen a photo of any. In the Oakwood Press book it mentions dealing with livestock [cattle] especially on market days.Modellers licence again perhaps as they do look nice attached to a coach as tail end traffic to add variety ...
  7. A bit more action with 3796 and 4547 on respective duties. The pannier was given the road to depart with the single coach and a pair of horseboxes up the branch as the 45xx is seen on a train of cattle empties probably going to Newton Abbot.I really need to get some signals here to make the scene more believable. The cutting on the prototype branched to the right as opposed to my scene.I really enjoy scenics so doing the grass banks here was very enjoyable. A close up of 3796 follows.
  8. Very nice Al.I enjoyed the ballasting on mine and I do like the grass you've done.
  9. Roast lamb, mint sauce and all the trimmings for Sunday lunch.I'll be stuffed this afternoon.

  10. http://www.dartcastings.co.uk/montys.php An example being Augustus Snodgrass is really MSV14 and Arthur Swidger is MSV24.They're are excellent castings.
  11. Typical RMweb thread that has to have a compulsory comment containing toilet and its contents. You don't get this on Peterborough North....... If you can't beat them join them. This sign was spotted in South Devon and a brownie point is given for its location.
  12. No trains but just another couple of residents here in the shape of gangers Augustus Snodgrass on the left and Arthur Swidger on the right.I wouldn't trust these two as far as I could throw them but they seem to be good at their job. They are pictured here alongside the branch as it curves away towards the fiddle yard [Kingsbridge].Thats a RTP Hornby platelayers hut repainted and weathered.
  13. Portholes don't stand out as much as steampipes so I'm not to bothered by that if I'm honest.Just as well because my 4547 would be wrong then too.
  14. I thought I'd show you one of my mistakes. This is what happens if you renumber a loco without proper research.I know 4540 worked the Kingsbridge branch but what I didn't know was its outside steam pipes were fitted in 1951.I'm hoping the plates come off easily without damage.I found this info in the RCTS part nine I purchased to research the 72xx class. You live and learn.
  15. No I'm not that date is probably right.
  16. I thought you might chip in Mikkel.Wait till the new Bachmann 64xx comes out as that will throw them. You don't normally see those around here.
  17. This years GWR liveried Castle is £108 here http://www.ehattons.com/51271/Hornby_R3105_GWR_Castle_Class_steam_locomotive_4_6_0_5075_Wellington_in_GWR_green_with_Hawksw/StockDetail.aspx
  18. I bet more people voted here on the poll than voted in the local council election.

not voted yet, far too busy.

  19. G W R liveried 45xx 4547 shunting cattle vans.Meanwhile 3796 sits with its coach on the branch platform. May I introduce to you the two ladies on the bench. As inspired by Mikkel in his Farthing blogs I've given them names.Flora and Minnie Finching to be precise and are well known to the station staff here.Sitting there all innocently they can tell a few stories of goings on here. When the 45xx has finished shunting the pannier will take its train to Kingsbridge complete with two horseboxes attached.Meanwhile a down express thunders through with Manor class 7804 'Baydon Manor' in charge.
  20. As requested a bit of action at Brent as Newton based 4547 arrives to shunt some cattle wagons in the yard.Out of sight pannier tank 3796 simmers nicely waiting with it single coach in the sun.
  21. Its your fault Mikkel. The wife found my list by the computer of possible characters for my cameos and she thought I'd been looking at illicit websites.I've had to put her in the picture to who Flora Finching might be .
  22. If the weather warms up in time for the Easter weekend I'll have a go at recreating that scene.Unfortunately I don't have any model horses but have some Devonshire cattle instead. No bowler hatted figures either !
