  3. The problem with most (>95%) of LEDs on model railways is that they are just way too bright! I would am for about 1mA of current through them (but I would experiment every time) just to make sure they are dim. Kev.
  4. Nice workshop. It looks like you didn't just shrink the power tools, that car looks pretty small too! Regarding the missing radii curves - the third law of model railways states "The more stuff you buy, the more stuff gets lost!" Kev.
  5. Remember in the 80s, or so, those little offices that were delivered anywhere on the back of a lorry? For a decade I always called them : - "Por-taca-bins" Confused the hell out of someone until it finally "clicked"! Kev.
  6. Was one of these based at Guide Bridge (Manchester) during the 70. I saw it many times and only remember (halfly!) the three windows with a huge bell that always seemed out of place. Any info gratefully received. Kev.
  7. #10? It should be 666! Kev.
  8. Re the 40... Not just anyone though! Someone with a proven record in the areas/details/variations necessary. Kev.
  9. After 32 years, in the same property, I now have a Mole in the garden. Answers on the back of a fag packet as to what to do about it.

      Yep, that's me.

I'm currently pondering a "trap" - although not bated with spaghetti. No, that's daft.

      Will noodles do?

Swivell chair and a shotgun, perhaps?

  10. Here's some pictures no one on here should like :- https://www.bbc.com/news/av/world-asia-65722391 Kev.
  11. This weeks itinerary has been a little different in that involved planes, trains and boats - what's not to like? Here is a shot of my 100m daily crossings involving these well-suited little jobbies.* I'll not let on where I am! Here is a better view of one of the hard-at-work double-ended boat. Here's a view (looking east), from on board the trusty vessel #61, showing one of the many barges plying their trade. (It was really rough and getting worse!) Does this qualify as "a train"? A tug leading, towing a hulk with a floating platform directly behind and another tug pushing the two. Kev. *100 metres !!! (edit for a typo)
  12. Simply the Best.

  13. My son is running it. I will check, tonight, to see what his FPS are. Kev.
  14. The reason for the tail load could be anything (running in, stock move, cosmetic, supplying utilities). It could easily have bee a passenger coach that received the bent step. Kev.
  15. I'm impressed by the graphics in that clip. Kev.
  16. Thanks for the info on the RS8. My great uncle was caretaker at Dinting and sometimes, at the end of the day, he would shunt the exhibits back to bed with me also in the cab. I never liked the RS8 then (totally none prototypical to a young me) but I am pleased to see it now. Great days. Kev.
  17. The first bridge is 15'3", but the second is 12'6". Easy to see the accident waiting to happen! Kev.
  18. I saw a "Mr Whippy" Ice Cream van today (Blazing hot sun - for a change) doing a roaring trade. The number plate - WH11 PPY. Kev.
  19. This gave me a (tearful) smile... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-england-derbyshire-65564694 Kev.
  20. So so many happy memories of Manchester Victoria. (Come back, all is forgiven!) Kev.
  21. I like my desk job* - 12k miles away! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/world-australia-65618680 Kev. * Not really.
