  6. Andy...haha I would expect you to look now, it's getting late and it's icy out-there! Bbbrrrr! Duncan, cheers for the link that's a huge help! I guessed it would be around 27" but from rail top to platform top it's 21". Again, thanks for sharing that link :-) Jack.

  12. As seen in layout tpoics. i've been working on converting a Farish 150/1 from Northern Rail livery into First Great Western purple/pink. by scrubbing away the 'northern stars' and smoothing with fine sand paper, i then painted the passenger doors pink, and allowed to dry, after this the foot steps were painted a dark yellow, headlight clusters painted into black. then weathered using humbrol liquid poly and a mix of brown weathering powders, the battery boxes were given a wet-look by using black powders and liquid poly. then allowed to dry. i'm making my own FGW transfers and "Devon & Cornwall Railway Trust" transfer to be stuck under the first passenger window of the 1 carraige. (prototypical to 150124) Not a bad attempt seeing as its my first bash at this. Jack.

Simple but amazing stuff! everything just ties in lovely together the combonation of a cricket field and a BLT together work so well. Not over crowded with bushes and shrubs but still gives a countryside touch. Can't stop looking at the pictures. :-) Given me a much needed boost for my 'in the pipe-line 1960's branch station'... Jack.
