  1. Just a heads up about a, new to me, trader I came across mentioned over in the D&S thread, in small suppliers. W M Collectables, a supplier of loads of second hand, but new, kits. Very happy to have placed an order with Andrew on Monday evening, after hours, and I now have them in my greasy mitts today Wednesday. http://www.wmcollectables.co.uk/ Cheers
  2. Yes, I believe they are/were used as the basis for coaching stock at Pendon. Stephen Williams describes building an LSWR Ironclad* in vol 2 of his books on coach building. *could rtr manufacturers please wait until I've got all I need from building kits BEFORE announcing their production runs of LSWR Ironclads!
  3. Not wishing to hassle them by email when they're busy, but does anyone in the know, know when Hold & Folds will be back in stock at Eileens ?

    Cheers

Not sure, Tim, but I'm sure that they'd be happy to respond to your e-mail at a convenient time?

      Thank you Sir.

I have one on order with a lead time of about three weeks at that time, which I believe was upish last week.

This is, however, good news for any of the flat brass shapes in the special things cupboard.

      Cheers

  4. Thanks, I'm sure I will thoroughly enjoy destroying them into something resembling what they're supposed to look like. Andrew at WM Collectables is now on my approved suppliers list for future hard to find items. If I see, for example, a BSL/Phoenix kit I want on eBay then I'll whack a £30 bid on it and that's my max. The advantage I see from dealing with this supplier is that you can just buy it and not go into a bidding war. Cheers
  5. Indeed, Dübs of Glasgow being the contractor. After 1903, the North British Locomotive Company.
  6. Lucky I didn't mention the sharks and the Yasen class sub then in't it.
  7. Exactly, if I want something I don't mind paying for it. I don't mind paying over the odds to get it either. This is a relatively new thing for me but I am so much happier for it. Of course I've had my fair share of bargains, two just the other day from the guy selling expensive kits back up there, and I'll probably have them in my hands tomorrow (and a pile of sticky mess by teatime). Swings and roundabouts, life's too short, roll a fat one...
  8. I can't see a firty free from here but I think I can hear one.
  9. Ah, crossed wires Rob. I meant the Kernow 02's not the 14xx Both lovely runners straight outta the box. I've already got an Airfix jobby
  10. "That's Eggy that is"* *Widcombe (Bath), colloquialism for excellent. Which of course it is sir!
  11. I knew I needed something... Admittedly it was something else until I saw another one of you beautiful B4's
  12. Wow! I love your cut down Crompton man... seriously! It's almost akin to the backend of a Vauxhall Chevette minus it's bumper, truly magical.
  13. Yes, I had an email from the red team earlier on but unfortunately not on my shopping list... at the moment. Will your loan machine be arriving in the morning until the proper one gets to you?
  14. Has just purchased a Phoenix Maunsell Pull-Push set on mere whimsy...
