Fran - can you please confirm the price of the wagons without containers? Seems a bit odd they're priced the same as sets with containers, when separate containers are 3 for £20.
And 9535 - all on pre-order @ £34.99 direct from Hornby. Or you can pay over the odds here - https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/274409568215?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=710-134428-41853-0&mkcid=2&itemid=274409568215&targetid=908661247816&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=1006955&poi=&campaignid=10199419339&mkgroupid=101401896865&rlsatarget=aud-629407027585:pla-908661247816&abcId=1145983&merchantid=101744420&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIr4-ty9ze6gIVDbDtCh36UATGEAQYASABEgLFHvD_BwE
Further o my earlier reply, I've come across an article in Model Rail from February 2002 which is about the Shawplan kit. I've taken a picture of the kit installed which may or may not be of use to you
Why pay £3 for a box when you can pay £8 for the wagon (in a better box) - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hornby-OO-R106-Edwin-W-Badland-Of-Birmingham-No-57-6-Plank-Wagon/392817734232?_trkparms=aid%3D1110006%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D227675%26meid%3D529292d83b5d42f78b4c3b674f7bc5ba%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D6%26rkt%3D12%26mehot%3Dpf%26sd%3D174338070636%26itm%3D392817734232%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2047675%26algv%3DSimplAMLv5PairwiseWebWithBBEV1FilterZeroArw%26brand%3DHornby&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851
Might not be too much use as the article refers to the Class 60 kit by Appleby, but if you get your hands on a copy of Model Rail from Summer 1998 there's an upgrade to the Lima model.
