  1. Thanks. I could not spot a link to the support section on your website - hence my question But I have found it now. The link above is missing a few letters Peter
  2. The same problem I have with the Class 92s I own. My Lenz LH90 only goes up to F18(?) so I'm stuck with having a lot of features I cannot use. I thought about buying one that had been released but I will pass it I cannot get it to function fully. Peter
  3. I don't know if there is a link for the DCC Functions for this loco - I have looked on the Accurascale Website but I have not spotted it. It might have been mentioned in an earlier post in this thread. Thanks Peter
  4. Only for the Disk Fitted Locos - not the DRS version
  5. Some people may wish to run their locos nose first - just because it is not common does not mean it does not happen. Peter
  6. Just came across the announcement of the Bullied Booster Electrics I have had a resin version for some time but its just about ok using a Hornby Class 40 motor and the resin bogies were not very good at staying attached. Ordered 20001 in Blue and this will be so much better :) Peter
  7. Sorry if this has been asked before - a lot of posts to look thru. Are you likely to make a 1980s BR Blue version with the TOPS number and the old buffer surrounds but without the Orange Cant Rail stripes? Something like these pictures I took. Thanks Peter
  8. The control panel and points are near each other and as I move the point switch I hear the Peco point motor click over. It will be the same with the signals as I will see what aspect is showing when I change the switch. And also if the signal/point stops working.
  9. Thanks. I don't intend to use the DCC System to control the signals - I like to look at a switch to tell me which way a point or signal is set.
  10. I have got to the stage of placing 6 colour light signals around the station and for ease of use I will use Berko/Eckon Signals. Each design has LED lamps and require a maximum of 12v DC. A resistor is provided with each set of signals and that wire connects to the Negative part of the 12vDC Supply The SPDT On/On switches will be mounted on the control panel and I'm trying to work out where the Resistors will go in the circuit? And what Power Supply I will need for the Signals - type of Transformer? Not done Signals before The Layout is DCC but I wish to have proper switches for the signals Any advice please? TIA Peter
  11. There is a clip on youtube One of the comments is this "It was Airbag / handbrake failure I know 1 of the recovery drivers that recovered the lorry, moving the train somehow damaged 1 of the Airbags and when the driver went to get his paperwork signed he looked out the window and just saw his truck take off and the injured person was the truck driver running after it trying to stop it luckily he hit the side of the truck and didn't land underneath it. The story was also in the paper."
  12. A brilliant suggestion with just a few problems [1] The London Transport Battery Loco might not be passed to run on Network Rail track [2] if it was it might not go more than 30mph - that would keep the railway running smoothly [3] where would you recharge the batteries?
  13. It depends if you treat the 88 as a ED or an Electric with limited off wire use. Just recently some of the Electric Only 9 Car Azumas worked between York and Darlington running just on the single diesel engine to get round an OHLE problem.
  14. When work takes place on the WCML DRS divert the Tesco Train via Derby to Doncaster then the ECML - & v.v. The 88 usually leads as the driver swaps from Electric to Diesel & v.v en route. Doncaster - Feb 2023 York - Feb 2023
  15. They have worked a number of different engineering trains on the WCML https://peter749.piwigo.com/picture?/42767/category/462-class_88_89_and_92
  16. The July 12 -25 issue of Rail Magazine has an interview with Bob Tiller GBRf Engineering Director who saw the Eurodual at Innotrans in 2018. He says the Class 99s will be 75mph max and will not be used on the Sleeper Trains but an ETH version with a higher speed is a possibility.
  17. Thanks Michael. A very helpful webpage - I can see how to get in to the loco now. Peter
  18. Thanks Ian, I was just looking at running it as a special so its not worth the bother. Not even worked out how to get to the body off to look inside. Peter
  19. I have had a Roco Glaskasten on my shelf for some time and I want to fit it with a DCC chip. https://www.roco.cc/ren/products/locomotives/steam-locomotives/43353-br-983-steam-locomotive-of-drg.html From the info on the website and the box its fitted with a NEM 652 plug - the standard 8 pin socket. The loco was second hand and did not have any instructions but it runs ok in DC mode. There is a pdf download of the parts but I cannot work out where the socket is or how to get to it? Has anyone fitted this loco with a chip? Thanks Peter 43353_8979.pdf
  20. That seems an easy solution. Don't think of easy things at my age Peter
  21. Thanks Gents, I will not use this model - I find it irritating when a traction unit has tail lights lit between it and the train its pulling. A wiring change is beyond my skill set. Peter
  22. Re reading my first post I could have put it better I have a used Lenz decoder The lights switch on/off with the F0 and they do change ends when direction is reversed. I noticed the Cab lights also switch on/off with F1 or F2. I would like to switch the Tail Lights off for towing a couple of vans so I have Front lights dependant by direction but no Tail Lights Is that possible? Peter
  23. I only recently fitted a DCC Chip to my Class 128 and I noticed the rear Tail Lights are on all the time Is there a way to switch just the rear tail lights off? Sorry if this has been asked before Peter
