  1. Thank you. I have spare couplings from other vehicles where I swapped them for something else. Peter
  2. I picked up a pack of these Coil A wagons from my local dealer and I noticed some problems coupling to other makes of wagons. Looking at the Couplings they have the hook on the opposite side When you view a loco/wagon/coach head on the hook is on the rh side as look at it but these wagons have the hook on the lh side. I have some 2nd radius curves in the hidden sdgs and I could not work out whey these wagons did not like the adjacent vehicle. Not sure why they were done like this? Peter
  3. And I managed to change CV4 to 0 using the Bachmann Dynamsis 😀 I know it's not much but I'm 67 and a bit and some of this programming the decoder is beyond me. Thanks for the help Gents Peter
  4. I'm beginning to think my purchase of the Class 92(s) might have been a mistake. The locos have an inertia which I do not know how to turn off. My first chip from Accurascale was too complicated for my Lenz LH90 to operate anything above F12 So I got the LokPilot Chip from DC Kits which has a lot of features that I can use But it still has this inertia problem and the only way to stop the loco is to go thru the menu to find F9. Anyone know how to turn off the inertia? Peter
  5. I'm sorry to you and the OP but they are 96 pages in this thread and sometimes things get missed. I just did not see that post about the relationship between Chunnel Rings, Shed Plates and Dellners. And sometimes people will make a comment expecting everyone to have read all the previous posts.
  6. I think it is an older version - I purchased it before I had a full layout and the locos at the time worked ok Some people have said I could change the mapping using a computer but my knowledge of how to do it is lacking. I had sent a message to DC Kits asking if it was something they could do - but I have not heard back yet.
  7. Too many variations with the CS 92s You can have them without Crewe Depot Plates and without Dellners
  8. Yes - I bought One. When I fitted it I cannot get all the features to work with my Lenz LH 90 :( If I had know I needed a more up to date DCC System I would not have bought one and just run the loco with TWO Functions
  9. I purchased an Accurascale Class 92 and at the time the Lok Pilot Decoders were not available so I fitted a normal version. I can go Forwards and Backwards and put the Day Lights on - that is it. Recently I picked up a Second 92 and ordered the Lok Pilot Decoder from Accurascale but then I found it was not compatible with my DCC System - a Lenz LH90 My system only goes to F12 and the Decoder to F28 The Card that Accurascale give you with the loco shows all the Fn for the sounds - not taking it to account people might run it without sound. It literally has all the bells and whistles (F10) for the despatch whistle. So can I get the Decoder reconfigured? Somebody said I could reprogram it using a Computer but my ability at 67 is limited in the DCC Field Thanks Peter
  10. I have considered purchasing a Class 37 but after the problems with the Class 92 I don't know. My local model shop got two for customers and fitted a Lok Pilot Decoder but they could not get the loco to work. I think, like the Class 92, the settings are non standard so what you expect to work doesn't. If I buy a Class 37 I might have problems due to my Lenz LH90 System Peter
  11. Is there a reason why running 92038 with Mk5 Sleepers is in accurate? - Or is it a "I know something you don't" comment?
  12. I have a Peco Double Slip which is operated by Two Point Motors. I wired it with two point switches back to back - The number 8 point controls the RH side of the slip and the 9 point controls the LH side as you look in a plan view - it is opposite way of what you would think. Peter
  13. Ok, thanks - I might cut the wire to the Tail lights or not bother using the loco. I think I have more than what I need 😃
  14. I have an older Bachmann 37 which is Factory Fitted with Sound and it does not have switches underneath like newer models Is there a way to switch off the loco tail lights for pulling stock? Thanks Peter
  15. Sorry but reprogramming a Decoder using my computer is outside my capabilities. The Decoder I put in to my first Class 92 was also a Lokpilot but just the normal version. And that works fine so I will purchase another version Peter
  16. Having purchased 92003 from Accurascale when released and really enjoying running the loco I decided to treat myself to 92001 First time the Decoders were not available direct so I fitted a normal 21 pin decoder - and 92003 works fine. I don't have control of the pantographs but I have a Southern layout so its not a problem. For 92001 I ordered a Class 92 Lokpilot Decoder which came today - (only ordered yesterday - Great Service ) but I'm having problems. I had a Bachmann Dynamis DCC Controller which is great for programming locos but the layout runs with a Lenz LH90 (2 of) and that is a problem. The LH90 only has 12 functions so I cannot turn off the tail lamps (F20) - So I turned it off using the Bachmann Controller but after the power is disconnected it forgets and the tail lamps come back on. And the loco has quite a lot of inertia - I saw a problem ahead of the train so I pushed the stop button and all the trains except 92001 stop but it keeps going. !!! So - [1] How to I get the tail lamps to stay Off. [2] how do I turn the inertia Off I know a solution is to remove the Class 92 Lokpilot Decoder and fit a Bog Standard version Thanks Peter Sorry if these questions have been asked.
  17. Thanks Nigel - that info is very helpful. I found a video on A&H Models website and there is quite a bit of work involved - maybe more than I could do, I will stick with the arrangement I have for now. Peter
  18. I have the Lenz LH90 set with the LVZ 100 command station, a 3 amp Transformer and another LH90 controller so I can have 8 different locos programmed. Although I never have more than 4 in use at once I think I would want Hardware instead of a laptop or iPad - it runs with Hardware now & I'm not bothered about train detection as I can see all of the layout . Currently there are two panels controlling the upper and lower levels on the layout which are close to each other. Both have a digram drawn on them and the Fleischmann Point Switches. Peter
  19. This information from their webpage Our club rooms are off Gunco Lane and club nights are on a Monday and Friday night, except bank holidays. If you fancy joining, please contact us and come down for a visit a few times for free before making your mind up. You could just simply visit on a Monday or Friday with one of you locos and you will know if there is a problem with the loco or your DCC System
  20. Currently on my DCC layout the points are operated old style with Peco PL 10 point motors operated by Fleischmann 6900 Point Switches on a Mimic Diagram. Which has a load of cables running from each switch to the point motor. When I was purchasing items for this layout I bought 8 x 36-561 EZ Command Point Decoders that can do 4 points from each unit. The decoder is a ESU Switch Pilot. I have been thinking of controlling the points from these Decoders but I'm wondering how I would know which way the points are set? With the Fleischmann Point Switches you can see if the route is set at a simple glance. I could fit the PL 13 Switch on the top of the motor but then I have the same number of wires I just got rid of running back to the panel. Any thoughts / suggestions? Thanks Peter
  21. The Rail Adventure IGA Wagons were advertised in 2022 https://www.keymodelworld.com/article/heljans-rail-adventure-iga-cargowaggon-flats And the HSTs have moved other vehicles as required https://www.railwayherald.com/imagingcentre/view/632189/LC If we have to wait for "accurate" models to pull there is not point in others building their railways as NONE are 100% accurate
  22. That maybe but to have to spend extra on something that should come with the £300+ base model is poor.
  23. Reading thru the April edition of BRM I noticed the new Hornby Power Cars in Rail Adventure Livery https://uk.Hornby.com/products/railadventure-class-43-hst-train-pack-era-11-r30218 And although Hornby have modelled the power car with buffers on the ends they have not bothered to fit any couplings The person reviewing them in BRM suggested the owners could modify them to fit front couplings - what rubbish. £300.00 + for this pack and you cannot use it as intended is poor.
  24. I did think of that Because my eyesight is not the best and the requirement to glue the small red crystals to the lamps has put me off getting them replaced I have ordered some of the Springside Tail Lamps from Buffers Model Railways I don't have to paint them :) Peter
