  1. Thanks Simon I found the thread you mentioned and the Stay Alive and I'm reading thru the DCC Concepts page on the fitting of the bits. Peter
  2. I seem to remember reading if I wanted a loco from the first batch improving - with correct lighting - I would have to pay extra I don't think that is a good manufacturer
  3. Do the newer batch of Dapol 73s run any better on DCC? I have 3 from when they were released and the running on DCC is very poor.
  4. I will be interested to know the results - A LokPilot 5 DCC/MM/SX/M4, 21MTC seems to be unavailable in the UK.
  5. Thanks - might be fun getting hold of one of them. I have seen other 21 Pin DCC decoders - Gaugemaster DCC95 Ruby Series 6fn Pro DCC Decoder 21 Pin Dapol Imperium1 21 Pin MTC 6-function DCC decoder Would one of those work? I don't wish to buy the wrong thing. Peter
  6. I should also have asked what number of pins. I notice the ESU lokpilot v5 seems to be available in in a number of sizes 59610 LokPilot 5 DCC/MM/SX/M4, 8-pin NEM652 59612 LokPilot 5 DCC/MM/SX/M4, PLUX22 NEM658 59616 LokPilot 5 DCC/MM/SX/M4, 6-pin NEM651 59619 LokPilot 5 DCC/MM/SX/M4, 21MTC NEM660 59649 LokPilot 5 DCC/MM/SX/M4, 21MTC MKL Thanks Peter
  7. They might have answered before but I could not find an answer so I asked.
  8. I have a DCC ready version on order - can somebody say which Decoder should I order - obviously a non sound version Thanks Peter [Sorry if this question has been asked before - difficult to find an answer in the thread.]
  9. An error on my part as I seemed to order the same class 92 twice in 2019 and 2020 - I must like that number :) I paid for one of the locos and the staff at Accurascale sorted out the deposit refund on the second loco. Thank you :) Just looking forward for the locos to arrive. Peter
  10. Hope Accurascale get the orders right Just had two strange emails from them
  11. I purchased a spare body for this project but it has got no further as my modelling skills are not up to making something like this. I think I will have to wait for a RTR version
  12. Did you swap the Wheelsets and if so what have you used? Thanks Peter
  13. I was happy to fill in the questionnaire but I did not want to enter the prize draw for something I own. But if I don't put my details in then I cannot complete it
  14. Thank you for pointing this out I think I only saw the top of the where you ordered the couplings and not the rest of the info on the page There is nothing in either the packaging or the packet the couplings arrived in I will amend my post above Peter
  15. I noticed that West Hill Wagon Works had released a pack of Hunt ELITE Magnetic Close Coupling Packs For Intercity 225/Class 91 Mk4 & DVT. The advertisement specifies that these couplings are for the coaches with "The Original D Link Couplings" and not the new Hornby releases. Having had a set of the original Mk4 Coaches for some time I though this is a way to add close couplings Since posting this it was pointed out to me further information is on the Website where you order the couplings Peter
  16. I was hoping that having made a 319/769 in N Gauge that a OO Gauge version might be on the cards - but then the £350+ price would put me off.
  17. The Class 800 5 car packs are showing RRP at £502.49 On Kernow they have two different LNER Azumas https://www.kernowmodelrailcentre.com/p/66941/R3827-Hornby-LNER-Hitachi-Class-800-1-Azuma-Set-800-104 And https://www.kernowmodelrailcentre.com/p/74245/R3965-Hornby-LNER-Class-801-5-Car-Train-Pack The R3827 is shown as £391.99 (£434.49 RRP) and the R3965 is £ 452.99 (£502.49 RRP) I wonder why the price difference? Maybe because the first set was announced in 2021? Peter
  18. You were getting my hopes up I would like a Class 74 but the Silver Fox body does not look quite right. Peter
  19. Is there a RTR Class 74 available - apart from the Silver Fox version?
  20. I presume you could only Pre-Order these Ecofrets and once the closure date went by that is it? I notice Rails of Sheffield have them on Pre-order and I wondered how long it would be before they are released? Thanks Peter
  21. Shame the Genesis pewter cab is not available any more. I wonder if Hornby might make the prototype - they have a chassis
  22. I have a 158 in an old livery and I wondered if the body would fit on a current chassis - or should I just pay to have it DCC Fitted? Thanks peter
