Here's a couple of shots of my Boys Dapol/Lima Hybrid. Currently using the Original Lima Cab Mouldings painted up. As and When I can get a Hornby Motor for it I will look at possibly fitting the Dapol Cabs back in. The Chassis had a slot at each end behind the Can Interior to Clear the Dapol Door Glazing Also still fitted with the original Lima Couplings until I can get some More Heljan NEM Tension locks to screw to the Bogies or a Modified Kadee Buckeye. Weighs are self adhesive Car Wheel weights that I've had for years with a Little Lump of Steel on Top. Cheers Trailrage

Well it would be rude not to when its £99 at Rails! Also bought a Body to fit a Non Powered Lima Chassis for My Little Boy. Going to use the Railtech Transfers for these two but want to remove branding without damaging the Paint. Its been said that T-Cut works Best but as there's different types which one should I get to use? Cheers Trailrage.

Use of Powder V tankers in 1992 and 2008
TRAILRAGE replied to Tallpaul69's topic in UK Prototype Questions
I have seen Freightliner 66's and 70's running with the depressed Centre PCA and the Metalair PCA on the Theale to Hope Cement workings as late as 2015. As for the PDA Bogie Cement I defintely saw them at Reading as Late as 1990. -
I was very saddened to hear about this as he was a first class Bloke who always had time for a Chinwag. Can still remember the first time I spoke to him at the Kidlington Exhibition when he had a lovely little Layout with him which had a small platform, a small yard with a Steel terminal being shunted by a a DJH 02 and a Coal unloading point. Spent what seemed like an age chatting to him and a very friendly other bloke who's name I cannot remember. He showed me his Brand new Bachmann 37403 so must have been 2002 ish. i cannot remember why the conversation changed the way it did but moved onto him looking like Bill Oddie much to his disgust! Funny thing is every time I saw him he he always said hello and had time for a chat even if he wasn't exhibiting. And when he was he seemed to have yet another new Layout with Him. They were always really good too. A great Modeller and a real Character RIP George you will be greatly missed. Trailrage

Managed to find it. Considering how wide it is it still managed to blend with other wrapped and unboxed Loco's! Looks pretty good considering it wad painted by an 7 year old. Sae Flush Glazing and some individual numbers cut from a sheet gave me one that sat at Crewe Works until scrapping. One of few I got to see back on 4th July 87 open Day. Cheers Trailrage

Bought one of these Big Boys about 25 years ago for £12.50 at the old Slough Swap meet that used to be held at Farnham Road before the old Building was torn down and rebuilt. I don't know what it was about this Model but there was some very well reworked examples running on Exhibition Circuit. I think Keir Hardy's Holmeworth if my memory serves. Mine Worked fine for a while before one of the sprockets snapped and cracked the Motor Bogie Frame. I had started repainting it as D200 when this happened so it never got finished. in the end I stripped it down glued the Bogie up and let my Little Boy repaint BR Blue as a non powered Loco for him to pull as a Scrap Loco. its in store at the Mo but if I can find it I'll stick a pic up.

Even though I currently don't have a Railway, I think Ill have to get me some of these and hand down Roco H0 Gauge Models to my littleboy. Cheers Trailrage -
The Cambrian Kits for the most part are easy to build. Just don't rush!. The First Wagon Kits I ever Built were x2 BBA Steel Wagons and X2 POA Scrap Wagons. That was 31 years ago and still use em. Need updating with better Brake Handwheels and crying out for some weathering too. Here's my BAA/BBA which get run along side my Bachmann models Cheers Trailrage

Re-Wheeling Hornby Class 86's
TRAILRAGE replied to AMD8806's topic in Modifying & Detailing RTR stock
Strange. I have 8 Hornby Class 86 Loco's and have no problem running them on my Peco Code 75. I have two different generations of the stuff some of Which is Lima Friendly the other not as the Rail Chairs were changed on the Moulding. None of My Hornby 90's or 91's give me any issues either. Cheers Trailrage -
Hello Mike B Thanks for the response, These things look so Good in Detail that it really did look like it would open! No disappointment though As I have one on Pre order for My little Boy.

With all my stock packed up and the Layout partially dismantled ready for the Garage to have new Roof fitted, attention has turned to my Little Boys layout and how to best extend it. SHWBO has given permission for it to use pretty much the whole of the spare Bedroom as our original plans for that have gone out the Window so to speak. A couple of years ago a very good Friend gave us a layout for him. It probably wont be to big I though but it turned to be 8x4ft with a hole in the middle. We have stripped it back it bear plywood so it can be surface first. My father who is helping out found some Laminate flooring undelay in WIckes which is 5mm thick and perfect for our needs. Arbiton Fan-folded Sprint Laminate & Wood Underlay 10.12m2 | Wickes.co.uk As its inside, both me and my little By have Asthma and we now have a cat, Self adhesive Tape will be the most likely option for attachment to the Boards. I'll let you know how his turns out! For now here's few pic of the progress so far. Cheers Trailrage -
Not sure if people are aware but it was posted on the "Clearing House" Group on Facebook about the unexpected Passing of Pete Johnson. A Masterclass Modeller of the Highest Calibre and very nice friendly person as well. His Layout Canada Street is an incredible piece of work. I was lucky enough to have spoken to him several times at Exhibitions and very encouraging to others with questions. My condolences to his Friends and Family May his modelling continue to inspire future generations. Trailrage
