Accurascale Class 55 Deltic - 4mm scale
TheEngineShed replied to Andy Y's topic in Accurascale / Irish Railway Models
D9007 and D9012 arrived stateside, DHL was very prompt with delivery. D9007 had three of the four footholds under the buffers and a bogie brake cylinder adrift in the packaging. Funny thing is that all the bogie brake cylinders are fitted, so I have been given a spare. D9012 had a couple of the small black boxes that go under the buffers loose in the packaging. All chains in place, finish is impeccable, both models are superb. Reattaching the loose gubbins won't take long. Did I say these models are superb? Thank you Accurascale! -
A Dekay's brown snake, a harmless little creature. My neighbor told my wife, he'd found a baby copperhead in his yard. It's dead now. Feeling pained...

Fair enough, it just allowed me to log on without following the link that keeps popping up everytime I use the original accurascale bookmark. -

Does this include orders that are to be dispatched to the USA? I have noticed that my Accurascale account seems to have been switched to accurascale.eu, and I have not received an explanation as to why this occurred. Thank you. -
Part of the Carolinas Aviation Museum Collection, they have been temporarily relocated from another area of the airport. The flickr caption has all the details.

Waiting for clearance to proceed, D600 is overtaken by a Pannier. Shot back in the day, when Kodachrome had an ISO of 10. 😀 -
How realistic are your models? Photo challenge.

I recall reading somewhere, maybe Modern Railways, that BR looked into headlights for their diesels but it was rejected on a cost basis. -

The B&W photo is out of a Bradford Barton, BR Diesels Doubleheaded. Another shot of that Heljan 26, the recess looks better with a tablet catcher installed and a bit of lining applied to the recess. D5336 on Shed by Pete Piszczek, on Flickr

Not really surprised, they just don't seem to get it. An RPG would disable that locomotive and aren't there 17,000 anti-tank missiles in the hands of angry patriots? -
Oxford Rail announce OO gauge BR Pilchard wagon
TheEngineShed replied to MGR Hooper!'s topic in Oxford Rail
I'm a recent convert to the trunk, it works well. It's not just the Pilchards, my BR banana van order was reduced to one as well, had eight of those on order at Hattons... -
A couple of shots of the led lightbars installed under my fueling shed, they measure 9x1.8x1.8mm, so a pair are 18mm long, very close to 4 foot in 4mm scale. Diesel Fueling Point Lights by Pete Piszczek, on Flickr Diesel Fueling Point Lights by Pete Piszczek, on Flickr The part number on my baggy is rab362cw1k and they were purchased in 2007 from LEDtronics see attached screen capture. No idea if there are UK sources, I'm in the US.

I used these small led strips, they were intended for mounting in the sides of older cell phones to light the screens. I can't remember the part number, but could find my baggie with a search. I bought like 50 of them, they weren't that expensive when purchased 10 plus years back... Blue Pullmans Fueling at Night by Pete Piszczek, on Flickr

Hattons has more Pilchards, they gave me the option to plus up, since my original order was reduced to one. So I now have two in the trunk... -
