  1. All glued afair, and droppers for electric continuity. This was about 5m so far run, in house will have about 7m. Using twins old bedroom, still got a lot of their junk to shift.
  2. It is on 40 year old chipboard, started at school but never finished, put into garage, have ran stuff, but too impractical. So stuff sunk cost fallacy, inside layout needs it.
  3. Thanks will try water next week. Scrapping a half build garage layout as too cold and dirty. Using the track for an inside layour, will be a bit smaller, but warmer
  4. I have a semi built layout to scrap, just never finished, but want the track. What is best way to lift track, glued down with ballast and PVA? I really need the points and the concrete sleepered stuff. Framework is breaking up and the location is poor.
  5. When i dropped a boy back for last uni year, in one town a rolls Royce suv was coming other way, fugly, tasteless, horrible. Rather have a really nice L415 if i wanted an expensive suv.
  6. Prestige 4x4 only one is as such, and comes from solihull. The super expensive non LR are just adverts of bad taste. Basically all the rebadged VW 4x4s, except the VW
  7. We have had same number 30 years
  8. You can buy front drive BMWs now. Porsche 4x4, just no. My boss was surprised I did not like them, as i have a Discovery
  9. not sure, forgot I had it, will check later
  10. Does anyone know the BR Mark 1 roof profile? Or a DXF of it. Or even just the radii used? I want to craft cut some roof frames to make roofs, rather than purchase and modify Triang ones.
  11. Had a son a tiny bit concerned. So I told him, drone operator and drop grenades on the heads of russians. He would be up for that over any troopwork.
  12. Try early 60s and constantly changing UIs. Sometimes everytime I kick off somethign, the UI has changed.
  13. 3 dots top right brings up menu, desktop site is on a slider about half way down. If not there install Firefox mobile as that is where it is.
  14. My 116 has a centre car 4mm longer than it should be, not at all noticable
  15. Brass is nice to solder. Bending, do not use pliers. So many ways of bending, i would search for one you like. But looking good.
  16. M & m a pet hate of mine that is Mega so 1,000,000 of 1/1000 is m Use the correct one!!!!
  17. My 120 is craft cut, i ought to finish it
  18. The LMS 0-4-4T would have stumped me if i had no experience, but it is the first full kit steam loco i am getting near completion. My first try loco needs motor and wheels, but body is airfix kit. Rest are diesels. Some of the LRM have resin boilers, this is easy. I have done with etched 4 resides, 5 scratch aids, 6 kits on carriages. Not counting Ratio, Kirk and similar. I feel up to cross kitting, 2 of above are. My next steam kit is older and i reckon more work. Plannjng a 460 tender job next
  19. 70021 Morning Star was Western Region then Midland Region Early on WR Later MR So if WR - Comet Sunshine carriage. If MR - Late LMS PIII carriage, some got to blue grey! Failing that a Mark 1, cannot go wrong with a TSO. Common stock, not too many doors, will be around to mid 60s Collett, early 70s PIII, early 50s to 1990 Mark 1
  20. So that will be 41900 This will be 58071, both Gloucester and Ashchurch based tanks. The chassis, urghh.
  21. Tidied up the solder, sorted the splashers, will need some P38 to het perfect, refitted right tank front. Will be current weekend project. Not yet got a magnifier , but running -2.5 on my IOLs helps.
  22. Comet at Wizard LRM are good kits but not that easy to build as first kit. Edge are good. To be honest do a comet coach first. Take your time. Is doable. Loco do a 4 coupled first. I converted a Hornby branded LMS 2p to MR using comet chassis, gibson wheels, high level motor and box, LRM tender. And a lot of care modifying the body. Ask the makers.
  23. As soon as i have got my eyes sorted i am going to have to finish my 120 I am wondering if a craft cutter could do the SR EMUs
