  1. I found i got steadier from 50 or so, less wobbling , but my sight is a pain. I bought what is basically a soldering stand to help me. My worries about white metal soldering came true. Will be making a new tank filler from plastic card. Will use devcon for the rest of the castings. And the next loco kit is a lot more white metal. Not just detailing bits.
  2. Roof on, now found I need 0.7mm drill so paused on chassis for a week or two One tank filler melted, plastic card replacement required, will use spare etch for missing footstep.
  3. Second board nearly done, but 4 points coming up, one breaking so rebuild time
  4. Whatever it is it would beat me. Got a 123 on the planning list. My DMU sides take about a month to properly laminate.
  5. I did not spot enough either. Just glad i managed enough minerals, and 2 rakes of MSVs.
  6. Trying to do in 3m x 1m under bridge will be scenic break. Sidings will be flattened slightly, considering a squirty plastic printer, and templot. Will be shrunk, aiming for 4 coach platforms. Clerestory i did have diagram Somewhere, may craft cut. My parents both come ftom Cornwall, one near Helford river , one near lizard.. Storage sidings will be under a BR layout.
  7. That is what caught me, got 3 locos, 9 carriages, 7 hoppers, about 10 vans, 6 cattle, and a few opens so far.
  8. Nancegollan I am trying. So where to get aerial phopo then please?
  9. No a couple of staions up, with the big yard. Could do with a reasnable map, but do not know where to look.
  10. I want to build a permanent way depot, basically copy Newland, but a lot smaller, say half length and less roads. Also move it nearer the Lickey route. Details and photographs are very difficult to find. All I have is a track plan, the loco, the crane, and a lot of PWay wagons. Always best to copy real designs, than make them up.
  11. I am trying to find decent track plans. Any ideas where is best, I have the signal box one.
  12. It has come out well, a good layout EMU. Need a 4COR to go with it now. Shows what can be done to an MTK kit with a bit of thought and planning, nearly said time!!!! Look sgood,
  13. Those 5 planks are a complete minefield as you probably know. I am just going to put a clasp under frame under a new Parkside 5 plank.
  14. I have to do some sidings with awkwards points, and originally planning on peco bullhead. But this looks good, i am slightly tempted by fdm just for brake gear due to shattering resin.
  15. Would be oo and i only have a mars 2 pro Was looking originally at solder kits
  16. Just found this, I do have a resin printer, so thinking of giving it a go. ABS resin seems to be popular.
  17. Just had 2 meetings. 1 person in north midlands, 1 about 1/2 mile away. Previous was 1 at work and me. I am in my dining room, on an office chair, having a 5 min break while I try to work something out.
  18. My 31s are Triang and Airfix. 47s a right mix. But 4 Lima ones. One 50 is stretched bogies. Western is ok. Nothing BRCW yet. Most of my Bachmann locos were when around £40.
  19. It did allow British people to genuinely choose a team in Australia touring cars.
  20. The V car floor pan was definitely a good handler, been part of some great cars. I have had 5. Police cars often used them, the Holdens were v cars. Basically a German designed floor pan with a souped up small block Chevvy engine, via AFAIR TWR.
  21. Taking a boy*, he models Warhammer 40000, quite excited to see a model railway exhibition, will be trying to get there early Sunday. * mid 20s.
  22. Had in last 12 months 4 eye tests, 2 operations, many visits, on multiple eye drops, more checks to come, waiting on todays oct scan results. May need 3 more ops. Just don't know. And floaters
  23. And of the some who commented, i expect are from a good place, not getting critical .
