Some advice please I am currently building 9 carriages from plastic card and Triang chassis and roofs, the sides are glued to the floors and have a tilt in of about 2mm a side, 1950s Swindon style similar to late GWR but tilted in. So an externally finished floor with partitions would not drop in. I need to cut a large number of partitions but if not fitted would have gaps, so tempted to glue in partitions and use short drop in floors sitting on top of the two runners on the floor inside, between partitions. This is OK for all but two corridor vehicles. But then I could cut them 1mm shallower and mount on twin laminated 20 thou internal floors and glue it all in. Holes for bogie pivots and roof screws. What is noticable is there are huge holes in ranges. Just look past locos. BR DMUs for a start. Can you buy a new Metro Cam 101 3 car set? 100 not done 103 not done 104 is coming 107 not done 115 116 118 119 120 123 124 125 126 127 129 not done 116 118 125 would be easy goal for Bachmann Carriages, even including kits there are huge gaps Wagons, too many to start but only a few percent of designs are available. That said no GWR small prairies new at the moment.

Underneath the TSLB and bogie frame are some sides for a 1950s Swindon Intet City set as used Birmingham Swansea. Same frames and dimensions as the 120. Not sure what I will do with it. But I am also building a Gloucester ex MR 2P most likely 40540.

Anyone noticed that the online retailers are short of pinpoint bearings? Managed to order 3 packs from Dart, should have bought 50 or so from Gibson with my wheel order. Today I have assembled before running out of bearings 2 MJT bogies ready to accept Trix Swindon sideframes Anyway week off work so time to model (as well as getting car MOTed)

My 120 is coming along OK, currently doing the TSLB bogies and just cleaned some gangways to fit.

Today found I had run out of pinpoint bearings when I had 5 MJT frames to do (done a pair), and 2 Airfix B set carriages, and a Comet pair. OOOPS!

I now have 1 loco with damaged wheels 1 worn out I expect tender drive 1 LRM Midland tender all wheels Comet chassis After some thought will be OO not EM nor P4 simply so I can run it on more model railways! OO is easy, I can easily get track, probably Peco bullhead. It could run on my BR layout. In the end it was sideplay issues in splashers. Will get a Highflyer 45:1 and a mid sized motor, drive on front axle and with trimming in body up to 14mm diameter and 30mm motor body length.

One thing I will mention is that none of them seem to mix well with others. So get the cheapest that look good enough to modifiy. For mixed aircon trains this is a problem, so I stick to one make per rake and convert. I usually use Airfix as plenty S/H got three rakes of them modeling 9 different design vehicles.

I liked the old stuff but I also liked the HSTs, they were exciting, and we still had 50 x class 50s to make things interesting.

I didn't bother either, with good reason. City and police waste of space. City a shoo in for the incumbent. Police no abolish option, I cannot vote for any of then! Get to important like general, parish and others I will be there. Oh and on parish. I only vote for locals, unlike some people at the last ones in another part of the city went political and voted in useless ones who never did any meetings. The same bunch of chancers were rejected in our parish for a mix of locals. Bunch of chancers, not a proper party, nor normal independents. A silly pressure group.
