Vacuum braked so could have been steam hauled. No not a whole train, as they were only FK (Corridor Firsts) so any train would need a brake vehicle which would have been a Mk.1 or earlier.

Wonder if they will get a repaint, but if not the LNER livery goes quite well with the TfW livery on the DVT
Stu. I remember the 02xx from Crewe , used it a few times. Came in handy when I went for a few pints with John Morris, and missed the last bus from Nantwich to Crewe. Bit of a walk but got home eventually.
Transport for Wales have produced numerous press releases about the improvements. The Holyhead - Cardiff goes to 2 sets and 3 return journeys a day (I think)
One said I believe 9 sets all together. So would that be 5 for the Manchester - Cardiff with one spare ?
And of course local rivalry said that Blaenau Ffestiniog had the largest slate mine in the world, and Bethesda claimed the largest slate quarry in the world.
The locos for the previous franchse (Arriva) carried no branding. Only the coaches were branded.
The 3 blue locos have not been used on the trains for years.
I think the problem is that what some suppliers call OO ballast is far too large. Often those described as N are nearer to scale size for 4mm.
The answer is to look at pictures of what you are modelling and buy what looks right.
