  1. A very productive trip to Hattons, more scenery bought and a Bachmann Single Road Servicing shed picked up there for

      TheIntercityhst

Productive in the fact I've got a decent container rake now! Your ex-shed is fitting in well, logos are soon to be removed (with much swearing in the process)

      Always nice "bargains" in Hattons..

  2. Ministry of sound 'Anthems House' on, San Peligrino in hand. Now that is a good Saturday!!

MoS 'Biggest breakdowns of all time' on whilst having a running session on the layout, plus 87002 in the bag. Its been good day!

  3. Not enough hours in the day at the moment with all the bits going on, after this weekend it feels like I need another weekend to recoup!

  4. Barr Crewe Soda and Takeshi's castle, a good way to end a fairly monotonous week!

      That sounds very "reasonable".

In fact, it sounds like "an offer you can't refuse".

(Says some guy who got a DVD boxed set of "The Godfather" just after his niece's christening ... .)

      Real blood bath hey Tom...

  6. Come on postman! You have my models about 8 miles from where I am now so get a move on!

    1. NGT6 1315

      NGT6 1315

The DPD live tracking function is terrifyingly distracting too. At the same time, I doubt it must be comfortable for many deliverymen to be under that kind of constant surveillance...

    2. TheIntercityhst

      TheIntercityhst

It's Xmas, Royal Mail will allow the postman to sit on his arse and eat biscuits rather than deliver your models! Just be thankful it isn't yodel, you'd end up getting them a year from now!

  7. Made up with seeing 87002 earlier!

  8. Starting to think Hornby have bought shares in about 5 different respray companies, considering there STILL isn't a DB Schenker red 60!

Haven't they? R3150 60007 DB Schenker in "Switch on to safety" livery!

    4. DRS Crewe On A Mission

      DRS Crewe On A Mission

I know quite disappointing really. Would be nice for a plain red 60. I'm also gutted their isn't a Colas 60 considering 60087 has been in traffic for months now and this was the first one to be repainted.

  9. Anyone know where I can get Hornby class 92 3rd rail shoes, pantographs and horns from? Purchased a 92001 which I really like but I need to replace broken bits, thanks for any help

    1. 69843

      69843

Try East Kent Models or Peters Spares (or both)

  10. Really need something to kick start my railway mojo as have more or less lost it! As long as it doesn't involve any 37s or steam engines :P

      11B

Granted your a bit young for this one but, as my wife said.... Are you planning on doing anything with your mess in the box room or should I bin it? So I did, I moved it to the dinning room and put the ear plugs in!!!!

Nah I don't fancy a class 60, although Toton did a great job on its overhaul and the special livery for Safety was nice

    3. 69843

      69843

Fair enough. What about something a bit more heritage, such as a 40 or 37?

    4. Swifty11

      Swifty11

      Noooooooooo

56s are heritage, 90s are of a fair age

It's okay! You just begin to loose all faith in humanity when you've heard it as many times as I have :/

Not sure, think it was one by Kiss Radio (have Radio on at the moment)

Try their website and you may find it

    3. Satan's Goldfish

      Satan's Goldfish

Ah the old syndrome of radio overplay which takes a good song and plays it so much you end up sick of it instead. Zombie Nation by Kernkraft 400 immediately springs to mind of having suffered the same fate.

    4. TheIntercityhst

      TheIntercityhst

I can only find 3 remixes of it on YT and so far they're all crap. Also when you've had 'All about that bass' as your school bell for a week you never want to hear it again...

  15. Had a great day! Been around Chester, caught up with Paul at Chester model centre, sold 2 of my surplus locos and bought another which I've wanted for a long time and saw 57302 on the pretendolino too!
