  1. Thank you Martin. Yes I should have mentioned the gauge it is 00. Could you give the details of those that build to order please, as perhaps I take that route Thanks Steve
  2. Thanks Well I waded through that topic and it seems that no one is selling hand built ready made turn outs at the moment
  3. Hi It is for my 47076 which I have built new handrails for. Pictured here. http://i1268.photobucket.com/albums/jj580/scoobman/IMG_20161129_124225_zpsdrbwkmns.jpg The chassis/bogies of this are now on 47010 Pictured here. http://i1268.photobucket.com/albums/jj580/scoobman/IMG_20170315_124630_zpsw90aekbd.jpg I have searched online but I can not find anything. So if anyone has a spare Heljan 47 bottom - everything but the buffer beam detail, which I have, then I would be grateful. I also need glazing as well Thanks
  4. Hi all After a bit of advice. I want to build a small very detailed layout and want the best track. I do not want to build it myself as I only want one turnout and three long straights of bullhead rail. Does anyone supply ready made hand built turn outs? and ideally the rest of the track to match. Thanks Steve
  5. I have had to take a break from the modeling due to work, no time to myself, but I will get stuck in again later in the year and Steve I will tackle another van
  6. Thanks The bodies are finished. The under frames were not in those pictures, but I have just finished them off. I have just checked which transfer sheet I used and yes it was the Fox Transfers one. I would have like them all to have have the COAL tops data panels on but Fox give you a variety and only a few with COAL on, So I just used them all, as they are not cheap. As for MHO I an uncertain to exactly what that stood for. Here is Paul Bartlett´s site you might find a few pictures here http://paulbartlett.zenfolio.com/?q=16t If not perhaps message him, as if any one would know it would be him. He goes by the name of hmrs Paul on here. Cheers Steve
  7. 16t minerals. They still need a bit of tweaking. Like the data pannels need knockingback on some and the old numbers removing. But I have enjoyed doing these as there are so many variations on the finish on them, some of which are shown here.
  8. My memories of Clapham Junction is that the roofs always seemed to have many holes in them. So that brings back memories.
  9. I spent a huge amount of time spotting and bashing on the western especially the Reading station area 1982-1984. So I guess we must have all seen each other at somepoint. Little did we know that one day we would be talking on some fantastic futuristic instant communication machine yet to be invented!
  10. I am still trying to get the TTAs right. Still not quite happy with them, just a bit of fine tuning needed I think but you get the feel. Next up will be a rake of 16t minerals
  11. Just had a look though this. It has a lovely atmosphere to it with lots of interesting detail.
  12. Another 40 in Kent was - D217 at Folkestone in 1968 I was born in Hither Green, so I always find reference to it interesting.
  13. Enjoyed the pictures. Quality modeling

  15. Enjoying the the thread and the pictures. I lived up St John lane in the 80s and remember Malago Vale, Victoria Park, Ashton Vale area well and spotting there, although I was down Temple Meads most of the time. (Removed my rather negative memory of the place - would rather concentrate on the trains )
  16. Here is mine in action. Stripped out running 500hp ish. And yes we should have a RM web track day I very much like the blue on your old Audi............. ....anyway back to weathering. This thread has got my enthusiasm up again, I am going to get stuck back into my 16t minerals tomorrow.
  17. Yes seeing a 47 on the southeastern division was quite a big deal for us based in that local. I like the picture, I remember that stabling point well
  18. Class 31198 on tanks at Wandsworth Road 1982 https://www.flickr.com/photos/oldbuzzard/6152608544/in/album-72157627543457489/ Class 45 Clapham Jct light engine https://www.flickr.com/photos/oldbuzzard/22221216445/in/album-72157627543457489/
  19. I agree with your Tardis light comment. (Unless cab lights were ´´upgraded´´ into something harsh at a later date and away from that warm glow. Being stuck/trapped in the early 80s I am not sure on these things)
  20. Yes I agree they do Phil. It is a question of taking your time with them, I have a flat metal flat set square that I use to get em square. The handrails are very fiddly mind. I did these two as a test. So when I do another batch (perhaps 4 at a time), I might get a bit quicker as I learn t the ins and out of how to approach and how not to approach building them with these two. What I like about them, apart from the fact I remember them moving about the network, is that they offer so many great variations in the weathering that can be applied. Steve
  21. Buffers still to go and a bit of fine tuning to the weathering needed.
  22. Two Parkside Dundas 21t Re-bodied I have just built. Minus buffers at the moment and still a little more work to be done. The dogfish I am quite pleased with as it was sent to me in dutch and was broken. So new rails made and bits glued back on and weathered into faded engineers green. (poor light today - so not great pics) The two Dutch OCA/ZDAs (Bass) I have weathered featured on this thread, I will sell as they are bit late for me. As I am focusing on early 80s. So any of you mid to late 80s chaps interested in them as a pair message me. I don´t want the earth for them, just for them to go to a good home. I have new rake of 16t minerals which I an itching to weather - so I will post up pics of them next
