  1. Good for if you mess up putting on your unit number transfers too.
  2. BR(S)

    Class 59 in 00

    It works fine here (Chrome).
  3. BR(S)

    Class 142

Only some of the 142 liveries have been made available to order so far. If you've placed an order it is pay in full up front and you have secured that 142. Any livery showing out of stock or whatever it says hasn't made it to the order stage yet.
  4. Email from Hatton's: 104 release now pushed back to October 2023.
  5. Apart from the obvious issue with this, I want to buy mine professionally weathered, so a replacement fuel tank isn't much help. I'll just stick with my solitary 33/2.
  6. All the chassis directly under the bottom of the body have been produced in black, but should be the same colour as the lower part of the body. Easy to rectify with a pot of paint and/or weathering, but not for everyone and shouldn't have to be done at the new (or any) price.
  7. The previously announced 9Fs are all showing as Feb/March 2023, the ones announced today are all May/June 2023.
  8. I tend to remember units as having dirty chassis but fairly clean bodies. However, some did get incredibly filthy all over, at least in RR livery:
  9. TMC listing them as Feb/March 2023. Bachmann/EFE website also listing a Feb/March 2023 release.
  10. £216.71 with retailers' initial maximum discount.

  12. Another 20% off Rails of Sheffield eBay site: https://railsofsheffield.com/blogs/news/💰-new-20-off-ebay-coupon-use-code-special20
  13. Some more items seem to have been added to the TMC sale in the last 24 hours. Weathered 47435 had dropped to £225 from £269ish. Worth a check if you've been watching something. Free postage over £100 too. https://www.themodelcentre.com/jan-sale
  14. Been going through the remaining locos, units, coaches and wagons I want to add to my collection. With the tooling available, is it likely Accurascale will be producing the unrefurbished Class 37 in BR blue, as pictured below? I know the tooling forms part of the Bachmann upgraded range, but I'd like an Accurascale 37 at some point.
  15. 73136 has arrived back with me and is in perfect working order. Weathering and a repaint of the lower bodyside colour by Cheltenham Models.
  16. I haven't got any details as the retailer sorted it for me. They just said the motor wires had been connected to the pick-ups and pick-up wires to motor, but I don't know if there was anything else.
  17. An update and solution to this: There appears to be a wiring fault with some. I returned this to the retailer who tried a new circuit board, but it still had the same problem. Turned out that the wiring had been done incorrectly at the factory, meaning it worked fine on DC but not on DCC, as the decoder wasn't connecting correctly to the circuit board. Now successfully re-wired and on its way back to me.
  18. For anyone who has received a Class 73 from the latest batch and hasn't tested it on DCC yet, there appears to be a wiring fault with some. My Intercity 73136 with the problem referred to a few posts above had to be returned. A replacement circuit board was tried but it still had the same problem. Turned out that the wiring had been done incorrectly at the factory, meaning it worked fine on DC but not on DCC as the decoder wasn't connecting correctly to the circuit board. Now successfully re-wired and on its way back to me. With thanks to Cheltenham Model Centre for a great weathering job and help with the fault.
  19. Do the settings of the circled areas make any difference? They have small switches that can be moved. These are pictured how they arrived, the one on the left being away from the DCC label on the PCB. I have tried them in different combinations without any change to the problem.
  20. I've now stopped the buzzing by turning off the back-EMF by programming CV49 to 0. Now though the loco shorts out when I try to move it in one direction, runs ok in the other direction.
  21. Can the Bachmann 36-569 designed for the Class 90 be used in other 21 pin locos? Otherwise, the 36-554 is the only decoder I've got other than sound ones, which I'm not prepared to risk.
  22. I've just received a Dapol Class 73 (new batch one, 73136 in Intercity). Runs perfectly on DC, but with a Bachmann 36-554 decoder fitted, it just buzzes as soon as it's placed on the track, no power applied. Decoder works in other locos, DCC system is set up ok and works with other locos. Buzz is like the sound when you put a DC loco on DCC track with no decoder in it, suggesting a short circuit perhaps. Can anyone suggest a possible fix as I'd like to avoid having to return the loco. I made sure the decoder was insulated from the circuit board.
  23. Just received a superb weathered version of 73136 in Intercity livery. Runs fine on DC but when testing it on DCC with a Bachmann 36-554 decoder, it just makes a buzzing sound as soon as it's placed on the track. Does anyone know what might cause this fault? The decoder worked fine in my Bachmann Class 47 and DCC system (Bachmann Dynamis) is set up ok and has never given problems before. I think the buzzing sound is like the noise you'd get if it's just got a blanking plate fitted and you try and run it on DCC.
